Perhaps this colour variant of the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be known as 'Stormtrooper White' after pictures were posted on social networking site Weibo by none other than 'DaarrthVader.'

While it's difficult to say for sure whether the force is strong with this particular leak, the images of the handset do compare favourably with previous shots that we've seen on the web.

The Galaxy S2-esque design front on remains, while the side shots reveal the metallic band which runs round the circumference of the device, reminiscent of the band around the iPhone 5S.

That's no moon

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha was being heavily tipped to be the first smartphone from the Korean firm to sport an all metal body, although a layer of polycarbonate will apparently still make it onto the rear of the device.

In terms of specs it's not exactly going to wow, with a 4.8-inch 720p display tipped for the handset placing it below the all plastic, yet full HD, Galaxy S5.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha release date had been pegged as August 4, but that's now looking increasingly unlikely as we're yet to see any news on the handset.
