The best Verizon deals for May 2024: free iPhones, Galaxy S24, and more

Apple iPhone 15: free with a new unlimited data line, plus free iPad at Verizon
Verizon's current batch of deals on the latest iPhone 15 are the best we've ever seen from the carrier. First up, no trade-ins are now needed to get the standard device for free alongside an unlimited data plan - just a new line on either the Plus or Ultimate plans. In addition, you can also get $280 off an iPad right now, which is enough to cover the entire cost of a basic model or get a nice little discount on either the new iPad Pro or iPad Air. Note, however, that you will need to pay for additional accessory lines even if you claim a cheap iPad with this deal ($10 per month extra). Check out this same deal on the iPhone 15 Plus.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro: up to $1,000 off with a trade, or $820 off with a new line at Verizon
And, if you'd prefer to get yourself one of the latest Pro models, you'll also find a superb Verizon deal on either device. Right now, you don't need to trade in to get $820 off over 36 months - although the older trade-in rebate of up to $1,000 is still in effect if you'd prefer to get the best possible saving here. In addition to the phone savings, you can also get a $280 saving on the latest iPad here, giving you even more incentive to sign up for one of the carrier's unlimited plans (note, however, that you will need to pay at least $10 per month for an iPad cellular line too).

Apple iPhone 14 Plus: free with an unlimited data plan, or free 65-inch TV
Verizon's deals on the latest iPhone 15 series are definitely the headline offerings but don't discount the carrier's promotions on the older models. Both the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 are available for free right now with a new unlimited data line. The plan criteria needed to get the 14-series devices for free is a little looser than on the 15 series - meaning you don't need one of the super-expensive plans to be eligible for this deal. Alternatively, throw in that free 65-inch TV if you'd prefer to opt for a freebie instead of a phone discount.

Samsung Galaxy S24: free with a new unlimited data line, plus free Galaxy Watch 6 at Verizon
Verizon's current lineup of deals on the Galaxy S24 and other Android flagships is really similar to those on the iPhone 15. Right now, no trade-ins are needed at all to get this device for free alongside a new unlimited data line - although you will need a line on one of the more premium Plus or Ultimate plans. In addition, you can also throw in a free Galaxy Watch 6 as a bonus, although note that you will need to pay for an accessory cellular line separately. 

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra & Plus: up to $1,000 with a trade-in, plus free Galaxy Watch 6
If you're eying up the more premium Galaxy S24 Ultra or Galaxy S24 Plus then you'll have to trade-in to get a discount on these devices at Verizon right now. That said, the current trade-in rebate of up to $1,000 is a match for the best we've ever seen from one of the bigger carriers so it's a pretty great deal. You can also claim a free Galaxy Watch 6 right now as a bonus if you're happy to pay for an additional accessory cellular line.

Google Pixel 8a: free with a new line on an unlimited plan, plus free Pixel Watch 2 at Verizon
Verizon's opening deal on the brand new Google Pixel 8a is an extremely compelling offer as you can get the device for free alongside any of the carrier's myPlan unlimited plans. While the device is more budget-orientated than the Galaxy S24 or standard Pixel 8, both those flagships are usually only given away for free alongside one of the pricier plan tiers. In contrast, this deal on the Pixel 8a is eligible with the basic plans, which makes it a good option if you want to shave some cost off your plan bills. As with other phone deals at Verizon, you can also throw in a free Pixel Watch 2 as a freebie.

Google Pixel 8 Pro: $5/mo with an unlimited data plan, plus free Pixel Watch 2
While the standard Google Pixel 8 is currently out of stock, you can still get excellent Verizon deals available on the more premium Pixel 8 Pro. Right now, no trade-ins are currently needed to get this device for just $5 per month on a new unlimited data line, although you can still get a maximum saving of $1,000 via the traditional trade-in route. In addition, you can throw in a free Pixel Watch 2 as a gift if you pay for an additional accessory cellular line.

Verizon: add a second line to your account for $10 per month
Verizon's latest deal allows existing customers to add a second line to their phone for just $10 per month. That's a second line with unlimited data, texts and calls for a super low price. Note, however, that you will need a dual-SIM compatible smartphone and this is a limited-time-only promotion - so don't hang around if you're interested.

Switch: get up to four lines for $25/mo
The perfect multi-line Verizon deal for those looking to set up some new lines at the carrier. This particular promotion will get you $180 off up to four lines over a 36-month duration when you bring your devices over. Unlike with other similar promotions at other carriers you can keep your phone number with this deal.

Switch: get $540 when you bring your own device
Don't want a new device? No problem - Verizon also offers up to $540 promo credit for those who bring their device over from a rival carrier. Note that this credit is applied over 36 months and only applies to unlimited data plans. You'll also need to be on the Unlimited Plus plan to get the full amount (you'll get $180 with the Unlimited Plus plan).

Plan deal: students save up to $25/mo with unlimited plans
Verizon offers a hefty discount for actively enrolled students, with a saving of up to $25 per month on the Welcome Unlimited plan. From the small print, it appears that you can have up to two lines with this promo and it also applies if you bring your own device. You will, however, need to log in to prove your eligibility.

Verizon 5G home internet: get a free Home Depot gift card, or Nintendo Switch
Verizon's deals on its home internet packages are usually a revolving door of freebies, bonuses, and gift cards - and this week is no different. Right now, for example, you'll either get yourself a Nintendo Switch games console or a $200 Home Depot gift card - both some of the strongest freebies we've seen yet from the carrier. Note, however, that this deal is currently only eligible with the higher-end 5G Home Plus plan (not the basic 5G home plan).
