Best iPhone 15 Pro plans in Australia (August 2025)
The iPhone 16 Pro is king and the iPhone 17 is coming, but is this older powerhouse still worth buying?

As we approach mid-2025, the iPhone 16 Pro is nearly a year old and the iPhone 17 series is on the horizon – but the iPhone 15 Pro remains a highly appealing purchase.
Approaching its 2nd birthday, the iPhone 15 Pro is available for considerably less than its original AU$1,599 price tag from retailers like JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and Amazon. And, we're seeing even better deals than usual right now thanks to Apple EOFY sales.
Apart from its stellar performance, the biggest calling card for the iPhone 15 Pro is that it's the only non-iPhone 16 (along with the 15 Pro Max) to access Apple Intelligence. That said, there's no denying that the iPhone 15 Pro is still a premium product, and it's priced as such.
While purchasing it outright with a SIM-only plan is an attractive option, many may prefer to pay it off via a longer-term contract from providers like Vodafone or Optus. EOFY sales from both telcos offer a range of excellent iPhone 15 Pro plans, and we've highlighted the two best options below.

Other iPhone 15 Pro deals
Vodafone | trade-in and get up to AU$1,500 in credit
Vodafone’s trade-in offer can get you up to AU$1,500 in credit to put towards your iPhone 15 Pro purchase. The actual amount you’ll receive for a trade-in depends on the model and condition of your device, for example, you’d need an iPhone 14 Pro Max (1TB) in good nick in order to get the full AU$1,500 in credit. On top of this, Vodafone is also offering double data on all its mobile plans for anyone buying a new iPhone 15.
Optus | trade-in an eligible phone and receive a digital gift card worth up to AU$1,200
Optus is throwing in a digital gift card, potentially worth up to AU$1,200, when you purchase the iPhone 15 Pro from the carrier. We say potentially, because the gift card amount will depend on what phone you have to trade in and the condition that it’s in.
JB Hi-Fi | Outright from AU$1,599
While it's not as cheap as you'll get from trading in your old device or from Kogan, this brings the iPhone 15 Pro down to just AU$100 more expensive than the iPhone 15's launch price.
Kogan | 128GB iPhone 15 Pro from just AU$1,525 for Kogan First members
The cheapest outright price available from what we can find, though you'll have to sign up to Kogan First to make the most of it. Luckily you can start a free trial and take on no extra membership cost.
iPhone 15 Pro: Key information
The iPhone 16 is here, along with the iPhone 16e – and the iPhone 17 here coming soon – but the iPhone 15 Pro possesses key upgrades over its predecessor, and can still access the iPhone 16's flagship feature.
While the iPhone 15 is still one of the best phones on the market (despite newer tech overtaking it in our guide), the 15 Pro is certainly a superior device. Starting with its appearance, the iPhone 15 Pro sports new materials, namely a slick titanium frame that makes the phone lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro's stainless steel rails. The sharp edges are also gone, with the 15 Pro offering softer sides.
This iPhone 15 no longer charges via Apple’s proprietary Lightning cable thanks to its much more universal USB-C port, much to many people's joy. This is the cable that's used by Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixels and plenty of other devices.
Also new to Apple’s Pro models is an Action button, similar to that which you'd find on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. It replaces the traditional ring/silent switch that featured on iPhones for years previously, and you can customise it to trigger up to nine different actions with a series of short and long presses. This gives you a much quicker way of accessing the camera or your favourite apps without having to swipe through your phone.
The iPhone 15 Pro is a wildly powerful device, and while the A18 Pro chip of the iPhone 16 Pro models is certainly more powerful, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to support Apple's all-new AI features – powered by Apple Intelligence. You can see all our thoughts on the iPhone 15 Pro, its specs and how it handled in-person in our iPhone 15 Pro review..
The iPhone 15 Pro comes in four fairly subdued, mature-looking colours, including black, white, navy and a warm grey shade, and it launched at AU$1,849 for the 128GB model.
