Sony's original vlogging camera is now at its lowest price with a $100 price cut and ranks as one of the best vlogging cameras for most people. Akaso Brave 7 LE: £169.99 now £159.99 plus 5% voucher at Amazon

Akaso Brave 7 LE: was £169.99 now £159.99 plus 5% voucher at Amazon
Our pick as the best value action camera for beginners, the Akaso Brave 7 LE offer an incredible range of features for its price, including a front-facing screen, weather-sealing, and decent audio quality. Its 4K video doesn’t quite live up to the best GoPro’s, but for the money it can’t be beaten. It was more heavily discounted during Prime Day, but there's still a respectable £10 off this capable little shooter.

Canon EOS R10 (body only): £999now £730 at Amazon

Canon EOS R10 (body only): was £999 now £730 at Amazon
We rated this camera one of the best options for beginners in our Canon EOS R10 review and during Prime Day it was at its lowest-ever price - now, it's £40 more expensive again, but that's still 27% discounted from its list price. Not only is the Canon R10 lightweight and compact thanks to its APS-C mount, but it's surprisingly snappy when it comes to autofocus and burst modes. If we had to nitpick, we'd criticise its lack of in-body stablisation and cropped video but it's a great value camera that's well worth the dosh. For an extra £50, you can pick up the EOS R10 with 18-45mm lens

Canon EOS M50 Mark II (with 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3): was £719.99now £640 at Amazon

Canon EOS M50 Mark II (with 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3): was £719.99 now £640 at Amazon
The Canon EOS M50 Mark II is a superly cost-effective way to get into both stills and video if you're a keen beginner looking to take it to the next level. This particular kit comes with a versatile zoom lens that's going to get you started on the right foot if you're looking for better-than-mobile snaps. At 24MP, it's got plenty of resolution for most situations and the autofocus works great for both stills and video. During Prime Day, it was even cheaper, but now it's still discounted by a respectable 11%.

Panasonic Lumix GH6 (body only): £1,999.99 now £1,799 at Amazon

Panasonic Lumix GH6 (body only): was £1,999.99 now £1,799 at Amazon
The Lumix GH6 micro-four-thirds mirrorless camera tops TechRadar's best video cameras buying guide with a generous array of 10-bit 5.7K video codecs, excellent build quality and intuitive handling. We were amazed by its Prime Day price of £1,499, knocking a whopping £500 off its list price, but right now it's still discounted by a fairly hefty £200.

Panasonic Lumix S5:£1,999now £1,269 at Amazon

Panasonic Lumix S5: was £1,999 now £1,269 at Amazon

A deal for the S5 was on the cards ever since it was succeeded by the incredible Panasonic S5 II this year, but our S5 review describes this low-price, full-frame mirrorless as one of the best hybrid all-round cameras you can buy and it's still a solid shooter today. What's more, it comes with the excellent 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 which is an excellent optic for photography and video, and makes this an unbeatable deal that's an even lower price than during APD 2022.

Olympus OM-D E-M1X £1,699£1,299 at Amazon
Micro-four-thirds cameras are generally meant to be smaller than full-frame, but the pro-grade Olympus OM-D E-M1X

Olympus OM-D E-M1X was £1,699 now £1,299 at Amazon
Micro-four-thirds cameras are generally meant to be smaller than full-frame, but the pro-grade Olympus OM-D E-M1X makes no apologies about its monster proportions and goes toe-to-toe with the best sports cameras available. Price was always a sticking point when it was launched against its smaller E-M1 siblings, but after hefty price reductions, we’re now left with one of the most capable sports and wildlife cameras at an attainable price.

GoPro Max: £479now £399 at Amazon

GoPro's 360-degree action packs twin 180-degree fisheye lenses, 5.7K video and a swathe of shooting modes including time-lapse and also features a suite of in-camera processing that takes the hard work out of stitching you 360-degrees together, and now the GoPro Max is under £400.

Amazon Prime Day camera deals: FAQ

When are Amazon Prime Day camera deals available?

Amazon's deals are officially over. It began to post the majority of its deals just after midnight on Monday (00:01AM UK on Tuesday 11th, to be exact), and the deals ran throughout the 48-hour period, finishing just after midnight on the 12th.

The deals above are all that's left at the time of writing, so if ou see something you like, you won't get another chance.

Do you need Amazon Prime to get these deals?

For 'official' Amazon Prime Day deals you will need to be an active subscriber to get the discount. However, there are a few categories - cameras included - that tend to get good deals outside of the official Prime Day sale, which don't need a sign-up to be had. In short, there are thousands on competitive discounts across Amazon over Prime Day, some of which are officially billed as Prime deals (and need an account) and some of which are simply just great deals.

It's too early to predict how many camera deals will need an Amazon Prime account yet but we assume some might. If you want to be safe, a good option is to simply sign up for the 30-day Amazon Prime Day free trial as that will automatically entitle you to all deals over Prime Day and bag you free delivery to boot.
