I've tested over a dozen coffee makers over the last year, and I was delighted to see that one of my favourites, the Siemens EQ900, is now just £899 at Mark's Electrical (was £1,499) for Black Friday. That's easily the best Black Friday deal I've seen this year.

It gets better, too. If you register as a Marks+ member for £19.99, you'll get a further £45 off on top. Factoring in the subscription, that brings the total price of the EQ900 down to £873.99.

Siemens EQ900
Save £600
Siemens EQ900: was £1,499 now £899 at Marks Electrical

There's an enormous £600 off this super-automatic coffee machine for Black Friday, and Marks+ members get a further £45 off on top. An annual membership costs £19.99, so it'll more than pay for itself straight away. This model is almost identical to the EQ900 Plus I reviewed earlier this year, which makes incredible espresso and foams milk to perfection.

The Siemens EQ900 is a brilliant espresso machine regardless of your level of experience, offering two brewing modes: Comfort and Barista. In the machine's Comfort mode you'll only need to pick a drink from the menu, then make a few easy choices: aroma, strength, and cup size.

If you're feeling more adventurous, Barista mode lets you fine-tune your drinks by tweaking grind size (which has the biggest impact on flavour), brewing temperature, pre-infusion time, and milk ratio.

The EQ900 is the only coffee maker I've tested this year that has two bean hoppers, which is a feature I absolutely love. I drink a lot of coffee, but I prefer to switch to decaf after lunch to avoid a restless night's sleep. With the EQ900, you can switch between two different types of coffee on the fly. Each hopper has its own grinder to avoid cross-contamination – and it also means you can choose different grind sizes.

If you're shopping for a premium coffee maker this Black Friday, you can't go wrong with this one. Take a look at my full Siemens EQ900 Plus review for more details.
