Amazon's Cyber Monday sale is pretty much non-existent. Instead, the online retail giant typically just calls it a Black Friday sale even when it's officially Cyber Monday. To take a look at all the best tech and appliance offers available to shop, head over to our dedicated coverage of the best Amazon Black Friday sale in Australia.

The good news is you don't need to be a Prime member to shop on Amazon during Cyber Monday, but it could help maximise your savings with exclusive offers, plus free and fast shipping. Note that during big sales, Amazon usually ships items after the sale has ended, so expect shipping to begin after December 3 even on Prime eligible items. If you've never tried the service, you can sign up now and get a 30-day free trial that covers this sale – cancel before your trial ends and you won't pay anything extra.

10 best Amazon Cyber Monday deals

Xbox Series X|S controller (white)
Xbox Series X|S controller (white): was AU$89.95 now AU$59 at Amazon

Save AU$30.95

This Xbox controller almost always gets a discount during major sales, but different colours tend to be priced differently. This time around, white colour option is the cheapest, although it's not quite the lowest price we've seen – that was AU$52.50 for the red controller back in May. It could still be a good time to pick up an extra gamepad or two for a reasonable price.

JBL Flip 6 (Black)
JBL Flip 6 (Black): was AU$169.95 now AU$97 at Amazon

Save AU$72.95

The JBL Flip 6 is great value at under AU$100 as it's truly a powerhouse for such a small speaker. And while it lacks flashy features like voice control, you get a rugged and very portable speaker that punches well above its weight with bassy sound.

Also available in more colours from JB Hi-Fi for AU$97.

Bose QuietComfort SC

Save AU$200.95

Nearly as good as the premium QuietComfort Ultra, the SC misses out on the Immersive Audio mode. You'll also get a soft case for this foldable headphone.

There's no camera like this on the market, but Canon has never shied from making something different. Smaller than most mobile phones, it's the perfect companion to pocket when you're out and about. You can also create content or use it as a webcam – it has a handy stand just for that. The black model is cheapest, sitting at AU$499 on Amazon, while the Silver one is AU$509.96.

Dyson Gen5detect Absolute
Dyson Gen5detect Absolute: was AU$1,549 now AU$879 at Amazon

Save AU$670

This whopping 43% discount on Amazon is absolutely a steal! It is Dyson's most powerful cordless vac and, despite being a little top-heavy, I would still not hesitate recommending it at this price. You'll get 2 cleaning heads and 2 attachments in the box, which isn't bad at all.

The latest model comes with the same presets as the DG551, but boasts a sleeker, more slimline design. Customer reviews on the listing praise its impressive features, meat-turning reminders and that it's easy to clean.

Amazon Cyber Monday deals: FAQ

When will Amazon Cyber Monday deals start in 2024?

Amazon Cyber Monday deals have already started, with the official date being December 2. You can find the Amazon Cyber Monday sale live now across a range of categories, products and brands.

What Amazon Cyber Monday deals do we expect to see in 2024?

We're expecting the best Amazon Cyber Monday deals to be on the retailer's own range of devices, with plenty of lowest-ever prices to browse through. Some of Amazon's products have been on the virtual shelf for some time now, and we expect to see big savings on the likes of the fourth generation Echo Dot smart speaker, Fire TV Sticks and Echo Show devices.

Last year, leading headphones such as the Sony WH-1000XM4 saw discounts on Cyber Monday, even though they were only released in August that year. We'd expect to see more generous savings on these headphones this year.

So what else? Apple devices are hugely popular during Cyber Monday, as are Fitbit and Garmin, with the latter two usually receiving big price cuts. We're also expecting great deals on the Nintendo Switch to be at Amazon again this year too. But Amazon dabbles in just about any gadget you can think of – there will be thousands of discounts across the store.

How can I get the best Amazon Cyber Monday deals on the day?

When it comes to Cyber Monday, it's all about playing the long game and executing patience. November will see the launch of thousands of offers, but we know from previous years that Amazon will save some of the best Cyber Monday deals for the day itself.

It's important to act fast when something you're after goes down to a tempting price. In some instances, stock may be limited – we regularly see shortages on popular gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Switch. If you like to add things to your basket and wait to see if the price will drop again, just be aware that it's a risk – you could lose out entirely on a great-value Amazon Cyber Monday deal.

It's also worth noting that while Amazon tends to price match with other retailers, there could be cheaper prices for some products elsewhere.
