I'll say upfront that you shouldn't expect a cinematic wonderland from an HD TV at this size and price (although it does support HDR, which is nice), but what I really rate here is that it's just a simple smart TV at a great price. So, if you want a small TV that does the job and has all the smart viewing options you could want to watch your favourite shows and movies, here it is.

If you're looking for a small-sized budget display, you can't get much better than this Hisense 43-inch 4K TV that's on sale for £199 at Currys - a record-low price. The Hisense A6Q sports 4K Ultra HD resolution support, a direct-lit LED array for respectable brightness and contrast, and Dolby Vision HDR for superior colours. Access to all of your favourite streaming apps is just a button press away, too. All of this for a little under £200? Bargain.

Samsung's lineup of Crystal UHD TVs is less feature-rich compared to the pricier OLED and QLED displays, but they are a capable and affordable option for general everyday viewing. This 65-inch model is now available at a tempting low price in the John Lewis January sale if you don't need all the fancy features of a premium TV. For the money, you get a large and modern TV that supports high-quality 4K resolution and all the most popular streaming apps.

The 50-inch Amazon Fire TV is the mid-sized version of the budget-friendly 4-Series range and it's now down to its lowest-ever price. It's a nice buy if you're on a budget, as the premium 4K resolution delivers excellent clarity and picture quality for TV shows, movies, sports and general viewing. All major streaming apps are ready to go, too, plus there's voice control support through Alexa. It's an all-around solid TV for the price that I'd buy if I needed an affordable and capable display. This one was £20 cheaper on Boxing Day, but today's price is still worth considering if you're on a budget.

Here's a quality and good value big screen TV from Hisense. The QLED displays ensure vibrant colours and excellent brightness, even in a brighter room, while 4K resolution support gives you top-tier picture quality. As far as large TVs go, this is one of the better options I've spotted in the January sales that balances price and features really well if you're on a tighter budget.

We've always had a slightly mixed view of 'The Frame' series of TVs from Samsung, but the latest 2025 model is by far the best - and addresses a number of our previous issues. Put simply, it's now not just a great-looking TV, but also a great-performing TV with excellent image quality. As always, this set is made to perfectly blend into your room by not just being a TV, but also a clever dynamic art or photo display.

As the successor to the excellent LG B4, the B5 is one of the best cheap OLED TVs you can buy. This 55-inch model sits in the ideal middle ground between size and affordability, offering a good option for most spaces and room sizes. Picture quality is excellent, with impressive brightness, strong contrast, and rich blacks for general viewing, while the gaming features are top-tier for a smooth and responsive experience on PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox consoles. Annoyingly, this one was £100 cheaper over Black Friday, however.

The latest version of Sony's Bravia 8 is an incredible OLED TV that boasts some of the best picture quality to date, according to our review. The display was only released this year and this is the biggest discount yet. Sure, it's still quite the investment, but you do get a picture quality that's bright, vivid, and detailed, with strong in-built sound as well. It's perhaps not the best pick for gamers, though, given it lacks some features compared to the competition.

If display quality is just as important to you as power, then strongly consider this Asus Vivobook deal at Currys. It comes with a large and high-end OLED screen that offers a clear and sharp image, whether you're working on documents or streaming your favourite TV shows. Specs are impressive elsewhere, too, including a modern Intel Core i9 CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage that all ensure excellent overall performance, great multitasking capabilities and speedy load times.

This version of the older MacBook Air M2 with 16GB of RAM is down to a new low price at Currys. Even though we're up to the MacBook M4 now, this version with the M2 chip remains an excellent all-rounder, especially for day-to-day tasks such as browsing the internet and word processing, and it also has the power for more demanding creative and productivity tasks. Ultimately, you'll struggle to find a better value Apple laptop than this right now.

This version of the HP Chromebook Plus offers impressive power for the price. It includes 8GB of RAM and an Intel Core 3 processor, boosting performance, boot times and load times. There's also a standard 128GB of storage for your essential files, and battery life is excellent at up to 13 hours on a single charge. That's more than enough to last a full working day. At a little under £250, it's a bargain for school or college, or just as a home laptop that you use for light use and everyday tasks.

Here's a solid and cheap Windows laptop in the Currys New Year sale. It's an older machine, but there's no denying it's packed with some excellent performance components for the price, including a Ryzen 5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for storage. It's a great buy if you want a good laptop with decent battery life for everyday use, work or school.

This Asus Vivobook Go 15 is impressive considering its price at John Lewis today. For well under £400, you not only get a decent Ryzen 5 chipset and spacious 512GB storage drive, but also an OLED display. Even though this isn't a high-end model by any stretch, it's rare to see such a premium feature on a sub-£400 laptop - and, it makes this machine perfect for watching videos or casual use.

If I were looking for a high-end Windows 11 laptop in the John Lewis sale, my money would go on this Asus Zenbook 14. Alongside a gorgeous MacBook-like design in a rather classy dark blue, this machine also features an OLED display and Ultra 7 chipset, meaning it's perfectly suited for both professional and casual use. This one is definitely a pricey buy, but you will get a more premium laptop overall here.

This is a fantastic price for one of the latest Samsung laptops with a modern Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 16GB of RAM, a crisp 15.6-inch AMOLED display, and several other top-spec components. At a whopping £650 off, this is a great price for a laptop that's tailor-made for powerful performance and industry-leading battery life of up to 31 hours. Storage feels a bit stingy at 512GB, but this is still a particularly strong option if you want the flexibility to move the screen around into tablet mode, too.

Another sales event, another chance for me to shout out an offer on an excellent and affordable vacuum cleaner that we awarded 4.5 stars out of five in our Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner review. I can't praise these vacuums enough for the Anti-Hair Wrap tech that has saved me so much time unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum. You get a lot for your money with this affordable stick vacuum from the top brand Shark. It has a runtime of up to 40 minutes, an anti-allergen complete seal, and comes with two extra attachments: a crevice tooland an upholstery tool. It's a good choice of cordless vacuum for most users and multiple floor types, so if you need a capable vacuum, I'd buy one while stocks last.

Here's a solid £100 saving on the powerful and nimble Dyson Ball Animal Corded Vacuum that also comes with a bundle of attachments and accessories. The unique engineering means it can keep both hard floors and carpets clean, while the ball design makes it easy to navigate around the house. When we tested a previous version for our Dyson Cinetic Big Ball review we came away super-impressed with the suction power and ease of use.

You can get Dyon's best-selling V11 vacuum for £299 in the latest sale at Currys. The V11 nails the basics, offering strong suction and excellent manoeuvrability. Information is displayed on an LCD screen that shows exactly how long you have left before the battery runs out in the current power mode.

Looking for a cheaper Dyson vacuum? The V11 is a great choice. It's not the latest device in the range, but it's still a really great performer for the price. Our review gave this one four and a half stars out of five, praising its runtime and auto-mode for various surfaces. In terms of bang for the buck, it's hard to beat the V11 currently.

One of the best budget air fryer deals available at Amazon right now is this heavily reduced Tefal Easy Fry. It's a decent-sized 8.3L model that's almost at the same price as smaller 5-litre options I've seen at other retailers. We haven't personally reviewed this model at TechRadar but it's from a trusted brand and down to the lowest price I've seen all year.

Ninja's space-saving air fryer has a fantastic deal for the January sales at John Lewis. We love this popular and well-rated appliance at TechRadar, scoring it full marks in our Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer review and even giving it a place in our best air fryer buying guide. Well-built and great-looking on any countertop, it offers five cooking levels across two drawers and two racks, while the large 9.5L capacity is ideal for large families.

The unique Ninja Slushi just got its latest discount in the New Year sale at Currys – although it was £25 cheaper on Black Friday. This kitchen appliance makes all sorts of chilled and frozen drinks, including juices, cocktails, milkshakes, and more. We loved it in our Ninja Slushi review, praising its ability to make quick and delicious drinks easily in a fun and entertaining package.

The Nespresso Vertuo Pop is one of the best entry-level coffee machines around, with its convenient one-touch brewing system that can easily heat up in just 30 seconds. The Ninja Luxe Café is a professional-level coffee machine with a whopping number of different grind settings, and many smart features elsewhere, too. You can keep your coffee warm after it’s brewed, while there are 9 bars of pressure to get your coffee just how you like it to taste. A burr grinder provides the perfect consistency, and a clean function saves you from plenty of hassle. This is a chance to grab it for a great price in the January sales.

This fabulous bean-to-cup coffee machine received 4.5 stars in our review because we loved the way it gives you total control over the brewing process. It's much more transparent than most similar machines, letting you easily tweak the grind size, temperature, and extraction time. With over £100 off, this is one of the best prices I've seen for the excellent coffee maker at John Lewis.

This isn't a big saving, but it's a discount nonetheless on the latest Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle featuring Mario Kart World. Considering the console costs £395 by itself, you're effectively getting a copy of Mario Kart World bundled in for just £14 – that's a huge steal. I don't anticipate there will be many more opportunities to save in the months ahead, and RAM prices could cause a price hike in the near-future, so now could be the best time to buy.

This is absolutely not to be missed and is perfect timing, coming just after the handheld's massive update, making it (almost) a complete standalone gaming device.
