Motorola has officially revealed the launch date of its budget smartphone, Moto G22, in India. The upcoming smartphone will make its debut in India on April 8th. A microsite of the device also went live on Flipkart which means the smartphone will be exclusively available on the mentioned online shopping platform.
We have previously seen budget smartphones from the Moto G series including Moto G31, Moto G51, and the Moto G71. To recall, the Moto G22 made its global appearance last month and if rumours are to be believed, the Indian variant might have a similar set of specifications.
What will be the pricing point of Moto G22 in India?
The Moto G22 is available in the European market at a price of EUR 169.99 which converts to around Rs 14,000. As per the expectations, the smartphone will be priced somewhere around Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000.
With this information, it can be safely said that the smartphone will be facing a device like iQoo Z6 that offers a Snapdragon 695 processor at the same price range. Now, considering that the Moto G22 will come with a MediaTek Helio G37 processor which is inferior to the Snapdragon 695 processor.
What can we see in Moto G22?
As the smartphone has already been launched in the global market, we already know the specifications. Moto G22 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display coupled with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone houses a MediaTek Helio G37 processor along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics processing unit.
In terms of camera, Moto G22 rocks a quad rear camera setup including a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra wide angle shooter, a depth shooter, and a macro shooter. At the front, the device gets a 16MP front sensor for video calls and selfies. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery along with 20W TurboPower fast charging support.
Apart from the fact that Moto G22 will offer near to stock Android experience, we are seriously unable to find a good reason to ditch iQoo Z6 for Moto G22.
