Saturday's Italy vs England live stream in round 4 of the 2026 Six Nations features a huge chance for the hosts to produce a statement win in Rome against Steve Borthwick's suddenly out-of-form team. There's plenty riding on this – expect fireworks.

That Italy are level on points with England with two rounds of the championship to go is symptomatic of both teams' fortunes thus far. Gonzalo Quesada’s side have been powerful up front – even matching France for brute strength in last week's 33-8 loss – and deadly in the backs, thanks largely to juggernaut center Tommaso Menoncello. The Azzurri have beaten Scotland and gave Ireland a massive scare to give them a chance of improving on their best finish of fourth in 2007 and 2013. They've never beaten England in 32 attempts, dating back 35 years. What better chance to do so?

England have suddenly fallen apart. Beating Wales on the opening weekend was a 12th Test victory in a row to move within in a whisker of New Zealand in second in the world rankings, but defeats by Scotland and Ireland since have been brutal in their absence of plan or fight. Now, Borthwick needs a win – any win – to restore some confidence with the World Cup just over a year away.

He's rung the changes, too, with 12 changes – three positional – after that Ireland loss. In the backline, only Tommy Freeman remains (but is moved back to the center) as Fin Smith, Elliot Daly and Seb Atkinson are among those to come in. There are also changes in the pack, where Jamie George, Guy Pepper and Alex Coles all start.
