What happened in the 1st and 2nd Tests?
It has been a bizarre series on and off the field. England won the First Test on a substandard Lord’s pitch where a wicket fell on average every 25 balls - the quickest rate in a Test in England since 1907.
For the Second Test, England fielded a makeshift team after they had dropped Stokes and Atkinson for disciplinary reasons, and were also without Jamie Smith, who was on paternity leave, and the injured Ollie Robinson.
