Google’s latest range of Pixel devices are finally here – officially launching on August 28 across Australia's top retailers. This means some of our favourite preorder deals – like the ability to snag a PlayStation 5 for free – are over, but there's still some really enticing Pixel 10 deals to take advantage of.

Because it's so new, retailers like JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys are offering bonuses when you purchase the Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL. This includes a gift card worth up to AU$400 or a free year of the Google AI Pro plan.

While these bonuses are attractive, it's also worth considering the plans on offer from carriers like Vodafone and Optus. While the Pixel 10 is more affordable than the iPhone 16, it's still a premium handset with a matching price tag. This is especially true for the 10 Pro model.

That makes paying off your new device over a longer term contract easier on most people's bank accounts. Below, you'll find all the best plans available for different kinds of users on the Google Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL.

Best Pixel 10 plans

The best Pixel 10 plan overall

Google Pixel 10 | AU$55 Optus Choice Plus | 50GB data | 24 months | AU$71.17 p/m

Google Pixel 10 | AU$55 Optus Choice Plus | 50GB data | 24 months | AU$71.17 p/m (for 12 months, then AU$86.17 p/m)

Vodafone isn't stocking the Google Pixel 10 – only currently offering the 10 Pro XL – but we think this offer from Optus would be the best available if it was. Until September 9, you'l save AU$600 on the Pixel 10 when you pay it off over 24 months. Plus, you're getting a AU$15 p/m discount on the plan itself for the first 12 months. It runs on the 5G Optus network with unlimited national calls and texts. Daily Roaming also nets 5Gb for AU$5 per day.

Minimum cost: AU$1,388.56 | Total cost over 24 months: AU$1,888.08

The best premium Pixel 10 plan

Google Pixel 10 | AU$65 Optus Choice Plus | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$81.17 p/m

Google Pixel 10 | AU$65 Optus Choice Plus | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$81.17 p/m (for 12 months, then AU$96.17 p/m)

For all intents and purposes, this plan is the same as the one above – just bigger and (slightly) more expensive. You get all the benefits of the plan above with a larger 200GB monthly data pool. However, the key difference here is that you also get unlimited international calls and texts to 35 destinations, making this the best plan if you need global communication.

Minimum cost: AU$1,398.56 | Total cost over 24 months: AU$2,128.08

Best Pixel 10 Pro plans

The best Pixel 10 Pro plan

Google Pixel 10 Pro | AU$55 Optus Choice Plus | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$85.75 p/m

Google Pixel 10 Pro | AU$55 Optus Choice Plus | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$85.75 p/m (for 12 months, then AU$100.75 p/m)

If you're looking to avoid the massive size of the Pixel 10 Pro XL, the Google Pixel 10 Pro is exactly what you're after. In our Pixel 10 Pro review, we said it was "one of the best smartphones". This plan nets you 50GB of data and unlimited national calls and texts, but the most enticing part of this deal is the AU$600 discount on the device itself when you stay connected for 24 months. If you need international calls or more data, the AU$65 Optus plan is our pick.

Minimum cost: AU$1,738.48 | Total cost over 24 months: AU$2,238

The best Pixel 10 Pro XL plan

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL | Vodafone AU$53 Small Plan | 60GB data | 24 months | AU$101.29 p/m

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL | Vodafone AU$53 Small Plan | 60GB data | 24 months | AU$101.29 p/m

The Pixel 10 Pro XL is Google's most premium device and in our review we said that we wouldn't "give it up for all the iPhones in the world". This is the only Pixel 10 that Vodafone is stocking and, while it costs touch more initially, you'll actually pay less than you would with Optus thanks to a AU$600 discount. There is no international calls and texts as part of this plan, but you can get roaming in eligible countries for just AU$5 per day. You'll also receive AU$500 bonus credit when you trade an old device in.

Minimum cost: AU$2,016.96 | Total cost over 24 months: AU$2,430.96

Best Google Pixel 10 and 10 Pro deals

What's new with the Google Pixel 10?

Four new phones are part of this lineup, including the standard Google Pixel 10, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and larger Pro XL, and the Google's premium foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. But what are the new worthwhile features and how do they compare? Here's a quick breakdown.

Let's start with the Tensor G5 chipset that powers the entire range of new Pixel 10 phones. This is a direct upgrade to the previous G4 chip, boasting a 34% faster CPU and a 60% more powerful TPU. In basic terms, that means faster overall performance, a more efficient battery and speedier processing – especially when it comes to AI features.

Google phones have always been good for photos, too, and that theme continues with the Pixel 10 range. There's a dedicated telephoto camera, which is best on the Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL with its 48MP telephoto sensor that offers up to 100x digital zoom.

You also get a Camera Coach feature, which uses AI to offer suggestions for shot composition and shooting modes to help you take better photos. For snaps you've already taken, there's the Edit with Ask Photos feature, which will suggest tweaks to the lighting, sharpness and more to refine your pics even further.

One of the most exciting features, though, is Pixelsnap: a built-in, magnetic Qi2 wireless charging technology for the entire Pixel 10 line. This works similarly to Apple's MagSafe technology, allowing magnetic wireless charging of up to 15W on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and up to 25W on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It's a convenient addition, so you no longer need magnetic rings or bulky magnetic cases.

Altogether, there are some impressive upgrades across the new Pixel 10 lineup. Combined with one of these preorder deals, you could come away with an awesome new phone at a great price, too.
