The runtime for Avengers: Doomsday's first trailer has been revealed — and it's longer than I expected for the Marvel movie

  • The runtime for Avengers: Doomsday's first trailer has seemingly been revealed
  • If true, it'll be the shortest teaser for an Avengers movie
  • Disney will screen the footage ahead of public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash

The first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday draws ever nearer – and, thanks to a new ratings board listing, we might know how long it'll be.

As spotted by the AvengersUpdated X/Twitter fan account, the Marvel movie's first trailer recently made an appearance on South Korea's Media Rating Board. And, while it doesn't contain any major cast or story spoilers, it seems to confirm its official runtime.

Indeed, clicking on the aforementioned Korean language link all but confirms that the highly anticipated Marvel Phase 6 film's first teaser will clock in at one minute and 25 seconds. If true, it'll be the shortest trailer for a movie starring Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Frankly, we shouldn't expect Avengers 5's inaugural trailer to be any longer. Avengers: Doomsday won't debut in theaters until December 18, 2026, so this teaser will be just that: a teaser that further generates hype for one of next year's most exciting new movies.

The good thing about this apparently near-90 second teaser is that it should give us some actual footage to pore over.

In early October when rumors began to spread that Avengers: Doomsday's trailer would arrive in late 2025, I opined that we shouldn't expect too much from it. Indeed, I suggested we'd get nothing more than a 60-second video that would largely comprise clips from previous Avengers films and/or important Multiverse Saga movies and Disney+ shows, before it ends with a brief shot of Doctor Victor von Doom.

Admittedly, an additional 30 seconds doesn't guarantee that the trailer will be entirely made up of footage from Doomsday. The prospect of the teaser running for more than a minute, though, gives me hope that it follow in the footsteps of Avengers: Endgame's first teaser, which followed the blueprint outlined in the above paragraph.

Does the Avengers: Doomsday trailer have a release date yet?

Of course, all eyes are now on the trailer's launch date. We know Doomsday's first teaser will arrive before the end of 2025, with the trailer set to run ahead of public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. And, while there were murmurings that Doomsday's inaugural trailer would receive its worldwide premiere at Brazil Comic-Con 2025 last weekend (December 5-7), that event passed with a sniff of any footage.

So, when could it be released? The latest rumor is that it might drop sometime this week, with some insiders proposing a December 11 launch. However, considering Supergirl's first trailer is also expected to arrive on that date, it won't be in Marvel or DC Studios' best interests in teasers for the DC Universe (DCU) and Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) flicks debut on the same day. Don't be surprised, then, if one launches earlier or later than the other.

While we wait for these trailers to drop, read up on everything we know so far about Avengers: Doomsday and what we know about Supergirl.
