Avengers: Doomsday's first trailer might be released earlier than predicted – here's why Marvel fans are getting so excited
Doomsday's first teaser might be here before anyone expected
- Disney and Marvel seem to be teasing something big about Avengers: Doomsday
- Fans are convinced that its first trailer will be released in the near future
- New story posts on Disney's Latin America Instagram account are to blame
Get ready, Marvel devotees, because the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday might be released earlier than any of us predicted.
On November 26, fan hype for the teaser's arrival went into overdrive after new story posts appeared on Disney's Latin America (LATAM) Instagram account. Story posts expire after 24 hours, so they're no longer available to view on said social media account. However, some eagle-eyed fans grabbed screenshots before they disappeared, thereby allowing the rest of us to pore over their contents.
Disney+ has begun teasing ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ on social media “The world is getting ready for a new event.” 👀 pic.twitter.com/j9eiwjdz7JNovember 26, 2025
Let's start with the November 26 story. As the screenshots in the above X/Twitter post reveal, the Latin American account for Disney+ uploaded an image with an accompanying caption that read "the world is getting ready for a new event". The photograph in question is a screengrab of The Fantastic Four: First Steps' mid-credits scene, which shows Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom meeting Franklin Richards, aka the son of The Fantastic Four's Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
24 hours later, the Brazilian accounts for Marvel and Disney+ dropped another clue. This time, a screenshot from Thunderbolts' post-credits scene, which features a zoomed-in shot of The Fantastic Four's spaceship, landed alongside the caption: "They’ve already started preparing for the meeting… and you, what’s your theory?"

It should be said that neither post indicates that the release of Doomsday's first trailer is imminent. Nevertheless, the fact that Disney and Marvel's LATAM social media channels are teasing something about the Marvel Phase 6 movie is, according to some fans, significant.
The reason? Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP) 2025, which runs December 4 to 7, is right around the corner.
The final major comic book event of the year, CCXP is second only to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) for big announcements, new footage reveals, and/or release schedule updates from industry titans like Marvel and DC. Admittedly, they're rarely on the same level as SDCC reveals so, on the surface, it would be odd if Marvel unveiled the first trailer for one of 2026's most anticipated new movies at CCXP 2025. After all, why not wait until SDCC 2026 to release a teaser at a dedicated Marvel Studios panel instead?

When might Avengers: Doomsday's first trailer be released?

There's evidence that a teaser for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film will arrive before the year ends, though.
In October, a rumor spread online that an Avengers: Doomsday teaser would run ahead of public screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the latter being Disney's final big movie release of the year. At the time, I predicted it wouldn't be an actual trailer but, a few weeks later, a new Marvel report indicated Doomsday's first trailer would be with us before the end of 2025.
Hours after that information came to light, X/Twitter user Cryptic4Qual stoked the fires further. Indeed, the industry insider, whose track record varies from mixed to pretty reliable (depending on who you listen to), suggested "some people might get an even earlier look. Something about a particular Sunday event in December".
I like that tbh. Avatar on F4, and now Doomsday on Avatar 3 for a big marketing push. 💰💰💰But i hear some ppl might get an even earlier look. something about a particular sunday event in december🤷🏽♂️👀 https://t.co/KYVBga64X8November 6, 2025
Responding to a reply on their original X/Twitter post, Cryptic4Qual admitted they didn't expect the trailer to receive its world premiere at CCXP 2025. However, with various Disney and Marvel LATAM social media channels teasing... something about Doomsday, Marvel fans, particularly those on r/MarvelStudioSpoilers, are more convinced than ever that a trailer will be unveiled very soon.
This doesn't mean that, if a trailer is shown at CCXP 2025, it'll be released publicly a day or two after December 7. Disney will want to get bums on seats for Avatar 3 – what better way is there to persuade MCU fans to check out that film than by running Doomsday's first teaser ahead of it? The chances are, then, that the trailer will land online sometime after December 19, aka Avatar 3's release date.
Of course, if Avengers 5's inaugural teaser leaks online post-CCXP 2025, Marvel and Disney could bite the bullet and release it earlier than that. I guess we'll see if a teaser is shown at CCXP first, and then if anyone is brave enough to record it on their phone before security intervene and immediately leak it on the web.
While we wait to see whether it receives a first teaser at CCXP 2025, read up on everything we know so far about Avengers: Doomsday.
