I test coffee makers for a living and 3 of my favourite espresso machines are going cheap for Black Friday
Looking for a new coffee machine this Black Friday? I test them for a living, and several of my all-time favourites are deeply discounted at Amazon right now, including the Siemens EQ900 Plus, now £1,599 (was £2,199) and the Philips 5400 Series for £380 (was £619.99). These are record-low prices, and far cheaper than last year's best Black Friday offers.

Black Friday isn't until 28 November, but all the big online retailers are launching deals early – and these are some of the best I've seen anywhere. Personally I'm a particularly big fan of the EQ900 Plus, which I had the pleasure of testing back in February.
Its standout features include two hoppers so you can switch between beans whenever you want (with two grinders to avoid mixing them), an excellent milk system that makes thick, stable foam, and a super convenient cleaning program. Take a look at my full Siemens EQ900 Plus review for more details.

The Siemens EQ900 Plus is truly exceptional, and makes the best latte macchiato I've ever had from a home espresso machine. Considering how many I've used, that's really saying something! It offers a huge menu of hot and cold drinks, and you can tinker with brew settings yourself or let the machine handle everything. With £600 off ahead of Black Friday, it's even easier to recommend.

This automatic espresso machine has received a huge price cut in the run-up to Black Friday, with a record 39% off. It's almost identical to the excellent 5500 Series I reviewed a few months ago, and is ideal for households with one or two coffee-drinkers. It's super simple to use and maintain, and is a great first espresso machine for anyone.

If you're in the US, there's a huge saving on this excellent entry-level espresso machine from De'Longhi. The Dedica Duo only launched a few months ago, so I'm surprised to see it available so cheaply already. When I tested it, I loved its ability to heat fast and maintain consistent pressure, which you don't always get with machines in this price bracket. It can brew cold as well, which is an excellent extra feature.
If the Siemens machine is overkill for your kitchen and you're looking for something more entry-level, the Philips LatteGo 5400 Series is an excellent choice, and is just the right size for one or two coffee-drinkers. Like the superb 5500 Series machine I reviewed a few months ago, it adjusts its own settings to suit your coffee beans, and has an excellent milk-frothing system that produces thick and creamy foam.
It's extremely easy to clean too; the milk system is made from just two pieces of hard plastic that are both dishwasher-safe, so there's no struggling to wash things by hand with tiny brushes. Take a look at my Philips LatteGo 5500 Series review for more info – the only difference between the two machines is that the 5500 Series has a few extra drinks in its menu.

The Ninja Blast Portable Blender is Ninja's best-selling personal-sized blender for smoothies, slushies, and shakes. It comes with a USB-rechargeable base, so you don't need to swap batteries every few months, and a leakproof lid with a carrying handle. Its convenient, grab-and-go design stood out to our reviewer, who gave it four out of five stars. This handy kitchen gadget has been a little cheaper than this in the past, but today's offer is still decent if you don't want to wait for potential further price cuts later this month.

KitchenAid is a mainstay in the Bake Off tent and still the leader when it comes to high-quality stand mixers – but they do come with a hefty upfront cost. This small discount on the premium Artisan model takes the sting out a little. It comes with a stainless steel bowl and three attachments for mixing, kneading and beating – everything the amateur or intermediate baker needs for the kitchen.
