The nicest (and rarest) Nintendo Switch console is somehow still in stock and on sale at Amazon US for Prime Day 2020. That's right – the Animal Crossing: New Horizons edition Switch has been available throughout Prime Day, but it's just a matter of time before it sells out. We've seen this console sell out constantly all year.
Launched to mark the release of Animal Crossing's latest entry back in March, this gorgeous-looking special edition console sports a lovely ocean blue / sandy brown color palette, with matching Joy-Cons and an illustration of the business raccoon Tom Nook and his two nephews across the Switch dock. It's a lovely little collector's item, and as soon as it sells out, expect to see it on eBay for about $100 more than Amazon is selling it here.
As mentioned, it's been very tough to find stock of this beautiful console during the past few months, thanks to a combination of Animal Crossing's popularity and the increase in demand for the Switch across the pandemic. That's why should should grab it while it's $299 at Amazon – Best Buy has already sold out of the console, so you'll need to be fast.
Keep in mind, though, that the Animal Crossing game isn't actually included. You'll have to buy that separately.
