This huge $155 discount on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has demolished my only excuse for not upgrading

As a big fan of both keeping fit and paying less for tech, I'm always on the hunt for sizable savings on wearables. So you better believe my ears pricked up when I noticed a top-notch wearable had hit its lowest price ever – you can currently pick up the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for $644.26 (was $799) at Amazon.
For such a premium Apple product (although ‘premium’ may be a little redundant there), this is a seriously good price. It is worth noting that there are only two colorways reduced here, with the Black Titanium Case with Black Ocean Band going for $644.26 and the Rugged Titanium Case with Orange Ocean Band selling for only marginally more at $649.99. Either way, that’s the cheapest Amazon’s ever offered them, making them one serious bargain.
As the proud owner of Apple’s cheapest smartwatch, the original Watch SE, you can tell I’m a bit of a sucker for value prices. But this deal is convincing me the time is right for me to go Ultra – and if you’re looking for one of the best smartwatches on the market, I’d argue it is for you as well.
Amazon deal: Apple Watch Ultra 2
Not only does the Apple Watch Ultra 2's sturdy titanium build mean it can fend off almost everything that you throw at it, but its myriad fitness and health tracking features give you unparalleled insight into your physical performance. And with over $155 off, you can get all these seriously smart features for a better price than ever before.
Whether I'm using it for tracking runs, listening to music on the go, or just clumsily tapping out messages, I love my Apple Watch SE. Unfortunately, it's starting to feel a little long in the tooth. Not only am I missing vital features like blood oxygen and sleep apnea tracking – as someone diagnosed with the disorder, this would be incredibly helpful – but I also live in fear of smashing or scratching it every time I go rock climbing.
As you can see from our 4.5-star Apple Watch Ultra 2 review, though, this rugged and seriously smart tracker can easily rise to this challenge. That titanium case and sapphire crystal display should be able to withstand the odd clonk against a rock face, while its longer 36-hour battery and absurdly bright 3,000 nit display mean I could use it all day, even in the blazing sun. Finally, the health features are potentially life-extending: having detailed insight into my heart health or when my sleep apnea is acting up would be a game-changer.
Really, the only thing preventing me from upgrading from my old faithful band has been that price. But this huge 19% discount really is starting to convince me that now is the perfect time to upgrade – and, if you've also had your eye on the Watch Ultra 2, you should seriously consider whether it's worth snapping it up at this great price.
