With Father’s Day just over two weeks away in Australia, you may still be wondering what to get the hardest person to buy for. There is, of course, the usual suspects of socks, some whisky or just a weekend lunch at your local pub. Yet, there are some Father’s Day gift ideas that are right under your nose, such as a beard trimmer, and some of the best I’ve personally tried are from a brand called Manscaped.

In fact, the Manscaped model I use and can confidently recommend is now down 20% on Amazon to just AU$127.99.

Yes, this is that Manscaped brand that’s more commonly associated with grooming tools for that region, but since the American company knows a thing or two about keeping hair trimmed and under control, it makes it the perfect candidate to launch a trimmer called the Beard Hedger.

The Beard Hedger couldn’t be simpler for dad to use. It offers 20 length settings, selectable via a centrally mounted control wheel, and boasts Manscaped’s proprietary SkinSafe blade to ensure no nasty nicks. 60 minutes of battery life also means your dad can go several uses without needing to charge it up – perfect for those quick business trips or the short holiday.

I’ve been using the Manscaped Beard Hedger as my everyday grooming gadget for the last two years. I’ve previously used a Philips beard trimmer, but there’s no way I’m ever going back. Not only is the Manscaped trimmer incredibly comfortable and ergonomic to hold, but the aforementioned control wheel makes selecting my desired length setting a piece of cake.

That’s not all. The main clipper head is a little on the larger side at 41mm – at least when compared to models from the likes of Philips, which tend to be around 32mm – and, in my experience, it makes my trimming sessions quicker than ever as a greater surface area is tackled in one fell swoop.

Considering a quick beard trim takes next to no time, it also means I can easily go weeks without needing to recharge it. Plus, it comes with a handy, hard-shell case to make light work of travel.

The deal price isn’t quite as low as I’ve seen during the likes of Black Friday, where it dropped just below AU$120, but this 20% discount still makes it a terrific buy for your dad.

A comprehensive selection of Manscaped’s other grooming tools have also received a 20% discount in time for Father’s Day. The Lawn Mower is the company’s hero product, and I’ve used the last three generations of this groomer.

For me, the Lawn Mower 4.0 – now available for AU$119.99 on Amazon – is the one to get as I found the extra trimming head that the Lawn Mower 5.0 comes with can nick the hair too much. The Lawn Mower 4.0, meanwhile, couldn’t be smoother or easier to use. It’s not just for downstairs either, as it comes with a couple of attachable combs that morph it into a body hair groomer, too.

The Handyman is also a great gift as it’s exactly that: handy. It’s a super compact foil shaver that cuts close to the skin and is perfect for travel. And it’s available for a mere AU$95.99 on Amazon too. Finally, the Weed Whacker – discounted to AU$55.99 – is a useful tool for dad to keep in the bathroom cabinet to do away with pesky nose and/or ear hair.

Take it from someone who loves the Manscaped products – any of the above personal grooming tools will prove very useful and make your dad happy this Father’s Day.
