The best Vodafone mobile plans in Australia 2026

Vodafone has long been the most affordable of Australia's big three telecommunications providers — the other two of course being Telstra and Optus — and through its ownership by TPG, which in turn has a network sharing agreement with Optus, it now covers over 98% of the country.

So, the combination of good coverage and good value makes Vodafone the clear choice in my opinion when you're searching for a new phone or SIM plan from a major provider.

Vodafone Medium plan | 200GB data | AU$49 p/m

Vodafone Medium plan | 200GB data | AU$49 p/m(first 12 months, then AU$63p/m)

Vodafone was previously offering double-data on some of its SIM-only plans, but that deal has now ended. While Vodafone's cheapest SIM plan costs AU$39p/m, I'd argue the Medium plan with 200GB data is greater value. On top of the huge data allowance, you also get unlimited international minutes to Zone 1 countries.

Best overall Vodafone phone plans

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (256GB) | 200GB | 24-months | AU$111.45p/m

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (256GB) | 200GB | 24-months | AU$111.45p/m

The brand-new Galaxy S26 Ultra is one powerful phone. Arriving with the latest Snapdragon Elite 5 for Samsung processor, a new Privacy display and more AI features than you'll know what to do with, there's not a lot it can't do. Vodafone is honouring the discounted SIM plan price for whichever duration of contract you choose.

Samsung Galaxy S26 (256GB) | 200GB | 24-months | AU$96.87p/m

If you don't need all the bells and whistles of the Ultra, the base model Galaxy S26 still has plenty to offer. You get an excellent camera system, a gorgeous 6.3-inch display and a lightning-fast Exynos 2600 processor.

Apple iPhone 17e (256GB) | 200GB | 24 months | AU$90.62p/m

The iPhone 17e is a shoo-in to be the best cheap iPhone, as it delivers remarkable value, even compared to the higher-spec iPhone 17. It gets the powerful A19 processor, which brings with it smarter camera performance. Vodafone isn't offering any discount on the phone, which is a shame, but you can trade-in your device to get some money knocked off.

iPhone 17 Pro Max (256GB) | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$140.62 p/m

Snagging the best phone Apple has ever made and pairing it with Vodafone's Medium plan is admittedly a costly endeavour (and that's before you think about increasing the storage!) but it really is a formidable device, and I think the 200GB of monthly data included plan will be more than enough for most people (perhaps even overkill!). One of the greatest phones we've ever reviewed, it offers everything we love about Apple on a massive 6.9-inch screen. Check out our full iPhone 17 Pro Max review for more details.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (256GB) | 200GB | 24 months | AU$169.79p/m

Since I've already highlighted the Galaxy S26 Ultra further up this page, the Z Fold 7 deserves a mention here as the best premium pick. This is easily the best foldable phone around right now, exhibiting a gorgeous and slim design, fantastic internal and external screens and highly capable cameras. Be warned though, this plan ain't cheap!
