The best 4K Blu-ray sales happening for Black Friday
As a 4K Blu-ray fan, I've been browsing through the best Black Friday deals for new discs I can add to my collection and I have great news: there are tons of sales and discounts happening!
In the US, Amazon US has savings of up to 60% on 4K Blu-rays, with new 2025 titles included in the sales.
Also at Amazon US, The Criterion Collection has 50% off most of its 4K Blu-ray catalog, with some superb titles such as Double Indemnity, The Princess Bride and Seven Samurai featured in the sale.
Finally, although there's no official Black Friday sale at Best Buy, there are tons of great discounts on 4K discs, with newer titles such as F1 and Superman (2025) included.
If you're in the UK, there are savings of up to 47% on a wide variety of 4K discs at Amazon UK. From the Lord of the Rings Extended Trilogy to classics from The Criterion Collection, there are tons of options to check out.

HMV is having a massive sale on its 4K Blu-ray (and Blu-ray) discs for Black Friday. If you use code HIDEF20 in the checkout with discs featured in the sale, you'll save 20%. There are thousands of discs on offer, including brand new titles such as Superman, The Mask, Edward Scissorhands, and more.
4K Blu-ray is a big deal here at TechRadar, not just because some of us are collectors ourselves, but because it's the best way to test the best TVs and best soundbars, thanks to its superior bitrate for picture quality and uncompressed audio.
We even have a monthly feature called the Blu-ray Bounty, where we review the best new 4K Blu-ray releases and explore how they can show off your home theater.
Alien: Romulus delivers rich blacks and powerful contrast with its picture that are really at home on OLED TVs. Plus, its spine chilling Dolby Atmos soundtrack will have you on the edge of your seat. Available at Amazon US.
Double Indemnity is one of the best 4K restorations I've seen. Textures are beautifully upscaled, the black and white image delivers strong contrast and the picture is perfectly cleaned up while still retaining some film grain for cinephiles. Available at The Criterion Collection Amazon US sale and HMV in the UK.
The Mask 4K restoration breathes new life into the movie, especially with the vibrant colors of the Mask's suit and green face. Its Dolby Atmos soundtrack also accurately delivers the zany, cartoon sound effects of the Mask's shenanigans that feel immersive. Available at Amazon US and HMV in the UK.
Dark City is another superb 4K restoration. Blacks are deep, textures are rich, benefiting from a fantastic clean-up of textures and contrast is powerful: displays with effective local dimming and OLED will be rewarded with this excellent-looking disc.
Chunking Express benefits from upscaled textures and a brightness upgrade, but really it's the DTS-HD 5.1 MA soundtrack that can really show off a surround sound system. Its chaotic market scenes are delivered with pinpoint accuracy and really made me feel immersed when I tested it.
