IKEA just launched a kitchen collection to bring the backcountry into your home — and as a homes editor, I'm in love

Summer is just around the corner, and IKEA has just launched a new set of kitchenware that's got me in the mood for lazy camping trips and long evenings with friends in the great outdoors.

The new Soluppgång range is packed with accessories, furniture, and lighting ideas that wouldn't look out of place in the backcountry, and as TechRadar's Homes Editor, I'm in love.

I love lighting that sets the mood for entertaining, so one of my favorite pieces in the new Soluppgång collection is the LED lantern, which is wireless so you can use it indoors or out, and dimmable so you can use it to illuminate your table while you eat, then turn it down for a cozier feel while you relax afterwards.

I also adore the new bamboo cooler basket, which is insulated to keep your drinks and snacks cool when you're dining in the garden, but looks like a wicker picnic basket. It's a lot more elegant than a chunky plastic cooler, and is the perfect partner to the new folding table and folding stool, both of which are made from natural eucalyptus.
