They do come in a little more expensive than the standard models, though.

You'll find all the latest models just below, with the lowest prices from around the web as well. If these Amazon Fire tablet prices don't quite suit today, though, be sure to check back as discounts do pop up fairly frequently.

Note: The prices below represent the ad-supported models, but you'll find ad-free devices available at a slight premium as well.

Amazon Fire tablet deals

Amazon Fire 7 Tablet

Amazon's cheapest tablet

Display: 7 inches | Resolution: 1024 x 600 | Memory: 1GB RAM | Storage: 16GB/32GB | Cameras: 2 MP front and rear-facing cameras | Battery Life: 7 hours

Hands-free Alexa
Low price
Upgraded camera
Smaller screen

The Amazon Fire 7 tablet is the ultimate budget buy. We've seen this model drop well below $40 / £40 in the past, and at a respectable starting price you're still getting excellent value if there are no Fire Tablet deals available.

With a smaller 7-inch display, 16GB or 32GB storage options, and a 1.3GHz processor you're not exactly betting high level specs here. But if you're looking for an affordable tablet for streaming, reading Kindle ebooks, browsing the web, or using as a smart home remote this is an excellent option.

It's worth noting that, as with all these Fire Tablet deals, you are limited to Amazon's own app store, with no access to Google Play. However, you'll find all the most common apps available here, and excellent integration with a range of Amazon services as well.

Amazon Fire HD 8

The best Fire tablet for most users

Display: 8 inches | Resolution: 1280 x 800 | Memory: 2GB RAM | Storage: 32GB/64GB | Cameras: 2-megapixel front-facing and 2-megapixel rear-facing | Battery Life: 12 hours

Excellent price
Dolby Atmos audio
Performance boost

The Amazon Fire HD 8 is the perfect middle of the road option. You're still picking up a startlingly cheap tablet, especially when on sale, and there's plenty of features in here to make it worth your while as well.

The 'all-new' model has taken over from the previous generation now, and brings with it more RAM (jumping from 1.5GB to 2GB), a larger 64GB storage option, a better 2MP front facing camera, dual-speakers and USB-C charging. You're also squeezing 12 hours of battery life out of this device as well - perfect if you're on the move.

The MSRP on this device sits at $89.99 (£89.99), but it's frequently on sale especially around the holidays. The lowest we've seen it go is $54.99 (£54.99) but if you spot a price nearer $64.99 (£64.99) you're also getting a great deal.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus

A jump in performance and convenience

Display: 8 inches | Resolution: 1280 x 800 | Memory: 3GB RAM | Storage: 32GB/64GB | Cameras: 2-megapixel front-facing and 2-megapixel rear-facing | Battery Life: 12 hours

More RAM
Faster charging
Wireless charging
Same screen quality and size
Much more expensive in the UK

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus marks the first time Amazon has upgraded one of its tablets and kept it within the same line. You're adding wireless (and faster) charging, an extra 1GB of RAM and speedier processing in this model, which will not only make it more convenient but will help out if you like to keep multiple apps running in the background or you're looking to take on some more demanding programs.

Other than that the design and screen stays the same in this model, though it's only available in the Slate color scheme, and you're paying about $30 (£60) more for those more luxurious insides. In the UK, that's a bit of a price difference but if you're shopping in the US it represents decent value for money.

On sale, we've seen these models drop down as far as $74.99 from the original $109.99 MSRP, but an $84.99 sales price is more reliable throughout the year.

All-new Amazon Fire HD 10

Amazon's bargain big-screen tablet

Display: 10.1 inches | Resolution: 1920 x 1200 | Memory: 2GB RAM | Storage: 32GB/64GB | Cameras: 2 MP front and rear-facing cameras | Battery Life: 12 hours

Faster processor
Larger screen
Better quality display
Still 2GB RAM

Thanks to the new 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, the Fire HD 10 is now 30% faster than its predecessor and provides a further two hours of battery life, though that battery life remains the same as the smaller Fire HD 8 above. That octa-core processor, however, marks a significant jump from the 8-inch tablet which will make gaming and more demanding programs run a little easier on the bigger device.

A 10.1-inch 1080p display is also on the table here, offering up a lot more surface area to work with and making streaming and browsing the web much more pleasing. Add to that the boosted resolution of the display and overall you're grabbing a speedy and satisfying device for a fantastic price.

The MSRP here is $149.99 (£149) but, like the other models, regular Amazon Fire tablet deals keep that price closer to $109.99 (£109.99). However, we have seen it drop down to $79.99 (£89.99) in the past. So far we've only seen this price once, so if you do spot a deal sitting at between $80 and $110 you're getting an excellent offer.

Amazon Fire Kids tablet deals

Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition

A tablet built to survive kids

Display: 7 inches | Resolution: 1024 x 600 | Memory: 1GB RAM | Storage: 16GB | Cameras: 2MP front-facing and rear-facing | Battery Life: 7 hours

Amazon Kids+ subscription included
Two-year warranty
Parental controls
More expensive than standard model

Got tech-hungry children? The Amazon Fire Kids Edition tablet is just the answer. It comes encased in an eye-catching and durable protective casing, but if that weren't enought, it has a two-year unrestricted guarantee. So even if the kids break it, Amazon will replace it no questions asked. It's equipped with plenty of software safeguards too to make sure they can only access appropriate content , and which allows you to adjust screen-time limits.

The Kids Edition of the Fire 7 tablet does come with a higher price tag than the standard model - to account for the extra content, parental controls, bumper case and warranty. With an MSRP of $99.99 (£99.99) it's still fairly cheap, but the usual $69.99 (£69.99) sales price comes a lot closer to being affordable. We've even seen it dropping down to $59.99 (£54.99) in a few past sales, but if you spot a price between these points you're still getting an excellent deal.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition

HD on a kid-tough tablet

Display: 8 inches | Resolution: 1280 x 800 | Memory: 2GB RAM | Storage: 32GB | Cameras: 2MP front-facing and rear-facing | Battery Life: 12 hours

HD screen for cheap
Better battery life
Kid-friendly apps and controls
Still more expensive than standard model

As its name suggests, the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition is a bigger and better version of the Fire 7 Kids. It has a larger, 8-inch HD screen, and the mono speaker has been traded in for dual stereo speakers with Dolby sound. The battery has been boosted from 8 hours to around 12, and you get 32GB of storage instead of 16GB. Nevertheless, you're still getting that same tough build quality and two-year guarantee too, so you don't have to worry about it being damaged.

At $139.99 (£139.99) you are paying a little more for this device, but you can often find it on sale for $99.99 (£94.99) as well. We've recently been seeing offers dropping as low as $79.99 (£84.99) on this particular model too, so prices around this bracket are particularly strong discounts.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition

Slightly pricier but excellent quality

Display: 10.1 inches | Resolution: 1920x1200 | Memory: 2GB RAM | Storage: 32GB | Cameras: 2MP front-facing and rear-facing | Battery Life: 12 hours

Improved screen size and quality
Faster processor
Considerably more expensive

If you're looking for a cheap tablet for the kids, $200 might be pushing it. However, you are getting some considerable upgrades under the hood here, courtesy of an octa-core processor, which might pay off if you're looking to run more demanding apps and games. Plus, that larger 10.1-inch display makes streaming content all the more enjoyable, especially with a higher resolution.

Whether that's worth the extra $60 over the smaller HD 8, however, will be down to how your kids plan on using their tablet. If they're not going to be doing anything too demanding (playing fast games or keeping multiple apps open in the background) it might be worth dropping the extra screen size. However, if you're after an all-in-one solution the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition is the best kids tablet out there.

That $199 MSRP (£199) does drop on occasion as well, giving way to a regular sales price that settles around $150 (£134). That's a decent figure, but we have seen a $129.99 price in the past as well.

Ads or no ads?

If you're browsing through the latest Amazon Fire tablet sales and noticing some cost differences, it's because Amazon has started offering two tiers of pricing based on whether or not you can stand ads.

If you opt for the cheaper ad-supported model you'll see Amazon's special offers on the lock screen only. It's important to note that this does not effect the way individual apps serve you advertisements, so you'll still see ads in these apps if you grab the more expensive device.

However, if you do pick up the cheaper model and regret your decision, you can pay the difference to have those lock screen offers removed as well. That makes it better to trial with the ad-supported tablet and pay more further down the line if it's particularly annoying.
