Amazon's absurdly-named Prime Big Deal Days sale doesn't actually start until next Tuesday, but the vast majority of the retailer's own-brand devices are already on sale right now. That means you can save up to 60% on Fire TV Sticks, Ring doorbells, Blink cameras, Echo smart speakers, Kindle ereaders, and more – with record-low prices available on lots of popular and highly-rated tech.

Browse the full early Prime Day sale

I've picked out all of the best deals right here, starting with some super-cheap smart home tech, such as the range of Fire TV Sticks from as little as £19.99. At this price, they offer a quick, easy and affordable way to add smart features to your existing TV, or upgrade from the slow or unreliable services built into some budget TVs.

You can also bag discounts of up to £70 on Kindles (including the newest and vibrant Colorsoft), get up to 60% off a Ring Video Doorbell, and pick up the Amazon Fire HD 8 for £49.99 – a good price for a basic everyday tablet.

And while many of the offers in the Prime Big Deal Days sale are expected to be reserved exclusively for Amazon Prime members, these deals on devices are available to all, so no need to pay the extra membership fee. If you do want to access the exclusive offers from next week, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial to Amazon Prime.

The newest version of Amazon's standard Fire TV Stick is down to its lowest-ever price, making this an inexpensive way to add or upgrade the essential smart features in your TV, including access to streaming apps in HD, Alexa voice controls and the ability to control other smart home devices. This is a decent option if you're looking to upgrade your streaming setup on the cheap.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: was £59.99 now £25.99 at Amazon

As the name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K streams shows and movies on your TV in ultra-high 4K resolution, with access to all the major apps and voice control support through Alexa. It's a good offer for a solid streaming stick that could be an upgrade to some slower and clunkier in-built TV services and apps. Be aware, though, that the previous generation version has been as low as £22.99 before – but that was over three years ago. Chances of seeing that price again are slim – and this is actually a record-low price for the newest model.

The latest wireless Ring Doorbell has been discounted to a new record-low price ahead of next week's Prime Day. We've tested more advanced versions and have been impressed with the video quality and night vision colour, but it's a shame that some of this device's value is usable exclusively with a Ring Protect subscription. However, if you're fine with paying for a subscription or already using a Ring-based home security system, it'll be worth the cost.

Amazon Echo Pop: was £44.99 now £22.99 at Amazon

Amazon's early Prime Day deals include the Echo Pop for the low price of £22.99. For the money, however, you get a compact smart speaker with Alexa built in, so you can play music, ask questions, and check the weather completely hands-free. It has fallen to £17.99 in the past for Prime members, but I'd still say it's a decent buy at a little over £20.
