Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 range of smartphones at the brand’s Galaxy Unpacked event, with the lineup including, as expected, the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra.
The handsets deliver hardware updates, headlined by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and storage options now start at 256GB for all three models. The Galaxy S26 Ultra also introduces a world-first built-in Privacy Screen, where the display can be dimmed when viewed from the sides to conceal it from onlookers.
The launch also means that pre-orders for all three handsets start today, with offers from Samsung Australia, the major Aussie telcos and various retailers.
Also unveiled were the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro, which have their own pre-order discounts, including offers for bundling with any of the Galaxy S26 handsets.
Whether you’re looking to buy a new Samsung handset outright (and then pair it with one of our best SIM-only plans), or you’re looking to pay it off through monthly installments through a telco, there’s a pre-order deal just for you.
What are the best outright pre-order deals?
Thanks to an exclusive code from TechRadar, buying direct from Samsung Australia’s online store is where you can get the 1TB/16GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for AU$2,499, a saving of AU$450. Use the code S26TECH at checkout to get this exclusive offer.
But that’s not it — the savings can go up to a whopping AU$700 if you pair it with a selected accessory (including the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro), along with more discounts detailed in this article.
Don’t worry, you’ll also get discounts on the base Galaxy S26 and the S26 Plus, where both will be upgraded to the 512GB variant automatically if you preorder before March 1, 2026. You’ll also get the same bundle discount above if you get the Buds 4 or Buds 4 Pro, or other selected accessories.
Samsung Galaxy S26: Get a bonus storage upgrade with your pre-order
Pre-ordering the Galaxy S26 series from Samsung gives you the 512GB version of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra for the same price of their respective 256GB variants, all representing a saving of AU$300 for each. When you use our exclusive S26TECH voucher, you can get the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra for AU$2,499 (down from AU$2,949). Read more about Samsung’s pre-order deals here.
• Galaxy S26 (512GB): was AU$1,849 now AU$1,549
• Galaxy S26 Plus (512GB): was AU$2,199 now AU$1,849
• Galaxy S26 Ultra (512GB): was AU$2,499 now AU$2,199
Amazon
Amazon is matching the Samsung Store offer of upgraded storage from 256GB to 512GB. But the retailer takes it to a whole new level with an extra AU$300 in savings — if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, at least. If you’re not, you can sign-up for a free trial.
Interestingly, Amazon is also listing the 256GB version for sale at the same promotional pre-order price as the 512GB, so make sure you select the latter to get the best deal.
If you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription, the offer is identical to the Samsung Store pre-orders above. If you are, however, you can take an extra AU$300 off the already discounted 512GB model down to just AU$1,249. This pre-order offer by far beats all other offers across Australia.
The feature-packed Galaxy S26 Ultra will also get a free storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB, while Prime subscribers also get an extra AU$300 off to get that variant down to AU$1,899. Want even more storage? The 1TB/16GB S26 Ultra costs $2,349 for Prime subscribers, down from AU$2,949.
JB Hi-Fi
JB Hi-Fi is also offering free storage upgrades across all three devices starting today and up to March 10, 2026, with all three handsets available to purchase from the 512GB version and up.
The retailer is also offering an extra AU$300 off the handset price of the Galaxy S26 range if you trade in your old phone before March 10, as long as your trade in value is determined to be at least AU$1.
Like the Samsung Store offer above, the Galaxy S26 will also get a free storage upgrade from JB Hi-Fi with the 512GB variant as the only available model to purchase, but at the same price as the 256GB model. If you’re looking to trade in your old phone, you can save at least another AU$300 with the trade-in promotion.
The larger-screened Galaxy S26 Plus also gets the same free storage upgrade with the 512GB model at the price of the 256GB variant. Compared to the Galaxy S26 above, the Plus has a larger 6.7-inch display (compared to 6.3 inches) and a larger battery capacity of 4755mAh (vs the S26’s 4,175mAh battery).
The feature-packed Galaxy S26 Ultra will also get the free storage upgrade to 512GB like the two handsets above (and the Samsung store offers). The Ultra features the brand new Privacy Screen that dims the screen when viewed at an angle, or just when you need it like inputting a password or PIN. It also gets 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, up from its predecessor’s 45W and 15W, respectively.
Interested in even more storage? JB Hi-Fi is also selling the 1TB S26 Ultra for the same price as the 512GB model after the pre-order period ends on March 10. Also included in the range-topping 1TB model is 16GB of RAM, compared to the 12GB from the other variants.
The Good Guys
The Good Guys is offering a similar promotion as JB Hi-Fi with the free storage upgrade for every pre-order, but for a few dollars cheaper for each handset. There’s no trade-in offer though, so JB Hi-Fi could be the better option if you want to buy one of the new Galaxy S26 devices from a bricks and mortar store. These offers will run until March 10, 2026.
Like the Samsung Store and JB Hi-Fi offers above, The Good Guys will also double the storage on any Galaxy S26 pre-orders, with the 512GB variant at the same price as the 256GB model.
The feature-packed Galaxy S26 Ultra will also get the free storage upgrade to 512GB for the same price of the 256GB model. This deal would slightly beat the JB Hi-Fi and Samsung offers above on a total dollar value basis, so I would suggest this deal if you’re not trading in your old phone.
If you need even more storage, The Good Guys has also discounted the 1TB S26 Ultra for the price of the 512GB model when the preorder period ends on March 10. This also has 16GB of RAM, up from the 12GB that the other Ultra models have.

Optus is taking AU$500 off the handset price if you sign up for either a 24- or 36-month plan with the telco. While this costs more than the Vodafone offer per month, Optus has discounted its 360GB plan from AU$79 to AU$59 for the first 12 months of the plan, reducing the overall plan’s cost. If you’re looking to add a smartwatch, you can add a Galaxy Watch 8 40mm for free with an Optus Watch Plan. The Promo plan also has unlimited national calls and texts, while roaming costs an extra AU$5 per day for 5GB of data.
