On the hunt for a shiny new iPhone? You'll find all of this week's best iPhone 17 deals neatly lined up and compared right here on this page. That includes all four new devices and deals for both our US and UK readers.
Right now, things are a little quiet in both regions, but there are still good iPhone 17 deals to consider. For example, several carriers still have a few holdovers from the previous end-of-year sales, and in some cases, a few deals that rival those from Black Friday all the way back in November.
In the US, you can look forward to serious discounts at all the major carriers today. In fact, you don't even need to trade-in to get several of the devices for free with a new line at T-Mobile or Verizon - and both are throwing in serious freebies on top right now.
In the UK, you can get an excellent trade-in rebate of up to £670 off directly through Apple for unlocked devices, while several major networks are also offering up to £500 off with trades. If you are looking for a contract, then check out leading retailers like Three and Vodafone - both of which have plan discounts for new customers.
The latest range of Apple flagships debut at $799 / £799 for the iPhone 17, $999 / £999 for the iPhone Air, $1,099 / £1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro, and $1,199 / £1,199 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Note that some devices have had backorders at some retailers, but stock remains pretty good at the major carriers.

Apple iPhone 17 series up to $1,100 off with a trade-in and new unlimited line at Verizon
After months of extremely strong iPhone 17 deals at the carrier, Verizon's promotions are a little pared back this week. Right now, you can still get several devices in the range for free with a trade-in and new unlimited plan, but previously a few of them where available under the same terms without the trade-in. Still, up to $1,100 off is nothing to sniff at - and, that's still enough to cover the entire cost of the iPhone 17 Pro. Not interested in trading? You could consider the carrier's promotion on the new iPhone 17e right now, which is free with a new unlimited line.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro: free with a trade-in and unlimited plan at T-Mobile
If you are looking to trade-in at T-Mobile, then you can currently get up to $1,100 off with one of the carrier's higher-end unlimited plans - a saving that's conveniently enough to cover the entire cost of the iPhone 17 Pro. Unlike the deal on the iPhone Air above, you will need to trade to be eligible here, but this could be a really great option if you're looking to upgrade anyway.

Apple iPhone 17e: free with a switch or trade-in at T-Mobile
T-Mobile's opening iPhone 17e deals offer plenty of options for new and existing customers alike today. Firstly, switchers can get a free iPhone 17e if they add an unlimited line at the carrier. Existing customers can trade in for a discount of up to $830 - which is the usual rebate you'll find across all iPhone 17 devices right now. Perhaps the best deal, however, is the 'Four iPhone 17 on Us' promotion, which lets you bundle four devices on the entry-level Essentials unlimited for just $25/mo per line.

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to $1,100 off with a trade-in and unlimited plan at AT&T
If you'd prefer to get one of the higher-end devices, AT&T's iPhone 17 deals this week also offer trade-in rebates of up to $1,100 on the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max right now. That's enough to cover the iPhone 17 Pro specifically here, and you can also take advantage of a $200 egift card that the carrier is offering new customers - a great little bonus that can be used to bring plan costs down.

Apple iPhone 17e: get $600 back with a new line at Visible Wireless
Visible Wireless is easily one of the best prepaid carriers on the market right now, and doubly so because you can get a free iPhone 17e with a new line this week. This one does require a line on the higher-end Visible+ Pro plan and an upfront investment, but you'll get a rebate that's big enough to cover the entire cost of the device here.

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to $830 off with a plan at Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile's impressive Infinite Access for iPhone deal is back again for the iPhone 17 series, offering an impressive discount that's not tied to the usual trade-in criteria. Right now, you can get $830 off when you bundle-in any of the four new devices alongside the carrier's $65/mo unlimited plan. If that doesn't appeal, then Boost also has a fantastic deal that gets you a full year of unlimited plan service when you buy a device upfront.

You can also trade-in for an additional discount, but it might not cover the entire cost of the plan.

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to $700 off with a trade-in at Apple
Apple's opening iPhone 17 deal is, well, it's typically Apple. You're going to be able to get up to $700 off here with an eligible trade-in rebate – a maximum discount that lags behind the other major carriers right now in terms of value. Of course, buying an iPhone directly from Apple means you can get an unlocked device, which is extremely handy if you want to avoid long-term unlimited plans.

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to $830 off with a trade-in and plan at Xfinity Mobile
Xfinity Mobile's current trade-in rebate of up to $830 off is a match for any of the big carriers when it comes to value today. As with other retailers, you will need an unlimited data plan here to be eligible for a discount, but the saving is enough to cover the entire cost of the iPhone 17 Pro. Note, if you're interested in the new iPhone 17e, then you can currently get that for free with a new line at Xfinity.

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to £670 off with a trade-in at Apple
Apple's trade-in rebate of up to £670 will be one of the better discounts out there for our UK readers this week, and definitely the best option for a cheap unlocked device. Of course, the rebate rates fall off pretty quickly unless you're handing over the shiniest of iPhones, but this is still a good option - especially if you're pairing up your device with a SIM-only contract.

Apple iPhone 17 series: £207 off with a trade-in and plan at Vodafone
Vodafone is also offering exceptional discounts of up to £207 across the iPhone 17 range when you trade-in an old phone alongside a new contract. That can get you a pretty cheap device right from the off - and, if you do go for a 24 or 36-month at the carrier, you'll be eligible for one upgrade per year, which could be a very handy feature indeed if you're always on the lookout for the latest Apple device.
Buying advice
Which iPhone is the best value?
If you're buying a device outright, then for my money, the standard iPhone 17 is the clear winner in terms of value. While outwardly the device is extremely similar to last year's iPhone 16, you get some great upgrades in the form of the new A19 chipset, 120Hz display, and 18MP front-facing camera. Most impressively of all, though, Apple has upped the baseline storage from 128GB to 256GB while keeping the starting price at $799 / £799.
With that said, the best value iPhone is nearly always about context. For example, do you already have a Pro device ready to hand over as part of a trade? You could also be looking at bundling up your device with a premium unlimited plan. In some scenarios, you might be eligible for a rebate that covers the entire cost of a higher-end Pro or Air device.
Will the iPhone 17 get discounted soon?
Unlikely, unfortunately. As someone who's covered iPhone deals for over five years, I've never seen Apple itself offer an upfront discount on its latest iPhones. Generally speaking, the brand waits until a new series is released before dropping the price on its older devices (the iPhone 16 is $699 now, for example).
Furthermore, the initial preorder deals on iPhones tend to be the strongest promotions we see for a few months until Black Friday in November. If you're thinking about holding off until the big end-of-year sales, then that's definitely an option since both US carriers and UK networks tend to feature seasonal deals on iPhones. Of course, those will still be tied to a plan.
What's new with the iPhone 17 series?
- Brand new Air model replaces the Plus
- A19 and A19 Pro chipsets
- Upgraded cameras
- New vapor chamber cooling on the Pro models
Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup introduces the biggest shake-up we've seen for a few years – namely, with the introduction of the all-new iPhone Air. At just 5.6mm thick, the Air is Apple’s slimmest phone ever and neatly slots into the void left by the now departed iPhone 16 Plus.
Despite its thinness, the iPhone Air still packs in the same A19 Pro chip found in the Pro models. As you'd imagine, however, there is a trade-off in that it only features a single 48MP “Fusion” camera instead of the Pro’s triple-lens setup. Still, that single lens supports 2x telephoto zoom, and Apple has promised all-day battery life.
The regular iPhone 17 also sees meaningful upgrades, including a 120Hz ProMotion display, peak brightness up to 3,000 nits, and a faster A19 chip with 20% better performance. Apple has bumped the base storage to 256GB, and all models now feature an upgraded 18MP “Center Stage” selfie camera, plus dual 48MP rear cameras on the standard model.
For power users, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max bring a bold new unibody aluminum design, a vapor chamber cooling system, and a striking cosmic orange color. Camera improvements include a triple 48MP setup with 4x optical and 8x hybrid zoom, while the A19 Pro chip delivers graphics performance that Apple says rivals the MacBook Pro.
