Not much technology genuinely changes your life, but in my experience, a smartwatch is the exception to the rule. Right now, you can buy the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro on Amazon for £266.10 (was £329), which is a fantastic deal on a smartwatch that literally just launched.

At an initial glance, you might be wondering how to get this saving. Well, by adding it to your basket, you save £30 at the checkout, but if you also enter the code 'HUAWEIUK10', you get an additional 10% discount. Rather conveniently, the 10% saving applies to the original price, rather than the discounted price, so the savings add up.

The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro promises up to 21 days of battery life with accurate GPS and heart rate tracking, along with all the activity tracking you’d expect from a smartwatch. It’s a great value option which should compete well among the best smartwatches for anyone on a budget.

On paper, the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro is an impressive watch that's compatible with both iOS and Android phones. It offers accurate GPS and heart rate tracking, with up to 21 days of battery life depending on your use. With a focus on cycling, you can cycle for up to 40 hours with voice navigation, auto ride detection, and advanced fall detection. With this combined saving and discount voucher, it's a great value option if you want an alternative to Samsung and Apple.

Our Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro review only popped up last week. We gave the wearable a strong four-star review, describing it as “an outstanding smartwatch marred by issues outside its control”. That relates to Huawei’s awkward ecosystem with some limitations if you don’t use a Huawei phone. That won’t affect everyone, such as if you’re not interested in using Google Maps on your wrist.

There’s still a lot to love here. It has reliable heart rate readings and GPS tracking, and excellent sleep tracking too. Battery life is more realistically 10 or 14 days, depending on how you use it, but you can get up to 21 days if you cut down the functionality in a bind.

The 1.47-inch AMOLED touchscreen rivals the best Android smartwatches. It also works well when running, walking, or hitting the gym, but it's the cycle functionality that's sure to be a big hit with avid cyclists.

The best Garmin watches may be a better bet for full integration, but you’d be hard pressed to get a Garmin with this many features at this low a price.

If you want to go looking though, there are some good Garmin deals around today. Apple users may prefer to check out the Apple Watch deals going on.
