I review electric toothbrushes, and these 69% discounts for Black Friday have to be seen to be believed
The Black Friday deals include tons of offers on electric toothbrushes, with up to 69% off huge brands like Oral-B, Philips, Suri, Ordo and others.
Electric toothbrushes are always very heavily discounted in the Black Friday deals. Most of the year, many of the top performers are far too expensive for most people to want to pick up, because despite all the bells, whistles and AI-powered apps attached, most of us just want a device to clean our teeth well.
However, on Black Friday, we have a rare opportunity to equip ourselves with top-performing toothbrushes for far less than the usually-inflated list price. They might have more powerful motors, oscillating movements, more settings for sensitive teeth, or be packaged with replacement brush heads.
In the US, I think the best deal by far is the Oral-B Genius X, down to $69.99 from $199.99 on Amazon – a 65% discount. In the UK, I think the best offer overall is Philips Sonicare 7100, now £119.99 at Boots down from £329.99. However, there's all manner of deals out there on all kinds of toothbrushes.

A great option, the Genius X's balance between affordability and features make this my pick of the US deals. Daily personal coaching guides you on how much pressure to apply at the right time via the companion app. The brush packs settings for cleaning, sensitivity, whitening, and even tongues.

Save 20% on this simple, sustainable sonic toothbrush. With a UV light-emitting case to kill bacteria on the brushhead, this is a great buy, especially as it may save you money in the long term. The steel handle is designed to be taken apart and repaired rather than thrown away, so you may never need to buy another brush.

Save a huge $130 on one of the smartest toothbrushes around. Personalized live coaching and color-coded display guides you through cleaning different zones in your mouth, while the package includes a charger, handle with seven settings, three oscillating replacement heads and a case.

A very attractively-priced electric toothbrush with charging puck, case, and one spare brush head. Three cleaning settings and a two-minute timer cover the basic functionalities. This is a rebranded iO Series 3, which is a great brush in its own right with Oral-B's oscillating functionality, which is proven to be slightly more effective than most sonic brushes. A pretty basic sonic toothbrush and charger combo, with a pressure sensor, two-minute timer and two intensity settings, but Philips is a reliable name in household appliances and Sonicare-compatible brush heads are very easy to come by. A good gift for someone with a manual brush (as long as they've asked for one, otherwise they might think you're hinting at some breath problems!).

A huge saving on a feature-packed brush that uses SenseIQ smarts to learn and adapt to your brushing style over time. It then gives you feedback via an app, in additional to a plethora of settings and smart charging case. It's like having your own personal AI dentist.

Our best value electric toothbrush on our buying guide, the Ordo Sonic Lite electric toothbrush is an easy-to-operate USB-charged sonic brush without bells and whistles, and up to five weeks of battery life between charges. A great get for someone who doesn't want a Bluetooth app, a case or different heads and just wants to brush their teeth without fuss.

The Philips Sonicare 7100 gets the honour of our best electric toothbrush overall, and right now it's reduced by a stunning 64%. I called it "powerful, smart, slightly overpriced" in my review, awarding it 4.5 stars. At almost 2/3rds off, I'd bump that up to a solid 5/5. Get it.

A waterproof design, 35,000 pulses per minute, two settings and a USB-charging handle mean the Ordo Sonic Lite is great value for 20 quid and eminently convenient. Prices vary slightly, but this fetching pastel pink is the cheapest. A little anti-roll standee stops it going anywhere without a charging puck.

Save 30% on the original Suri sustainable toothbrush. With a repairable handle, up to 40 days between charges and a Freepost recycling scheme for your brush heads, it's a brilliant wheeze with a lot of thought put into it. Even the packaging is all recyclable.

Oral-B's basic iO2 has dropped to a perfect gifting price, with an impressive 65% off. Designed for an easy switch to electric, the oscillating brush comes with a charging puck and travel case. Also available in calm pink.

Save a massive 69% on the Oral-B iO Series 3. The difference between the iO2 above here is the 360-degree pressure sensor to stop you brushing too hard, which can be seen at any angle due to its band shape, and the spare brush head for an extra three months or so of cleaning.

A £500 toothbrush gets a £320 discount. Travel case, two-minute timer, seven cleaning modes, and 4800 rotations per minute. It's probably not worth £500, but a 64% discount is pretty tempting.
The best electric toothbrushes are clinically proven to reduce plaque more than a manual toothbrush.
They're incredibly popular Black Friday purchases, and the deals above represent my picks, as someone who writes about health gadgets and reviews electric toothbrushes throughout the year. I'll update this guide periodically over Black Friday weekend if I find any more great deals.
