Taylor Swift: The End of an Era trailer has already revealed the best Eras Tour Easter egg, and I’m furious
- First trailer for Disney+ Eras Tour docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, has dropped
- All six episodes are set to release on the streamer on December 12
- Fans will also get 'The Final Show' version of the Eras Tour movie on the same day
There's been so much going on with Taylor Swift these last few months that I almost forgot Taylor Swift: The End of an Era was coming to Disney+ until its new trailer dropped.
Following the success of the Eras Tour movie on the streamer, Swifties are getting their first behind-the-scenes look at how it all came together through a six-part docuseries. There's not too long to wait, given all episodes will drop on December 12... but really, that's only the tip of the iceberg.
We're also getting a new cut of the Eras Tour movie dubbed 'The Final Show', which will include Swift's 2024 album 'The Tortured Poets Department' that was included as a bonus era during the show's two-year international tour.
As someone who went to one of the most widely-reported shows in the tour's history (not to brag), the brand-new trailer for Taylor Swift: The End of an Era comes with a huge plus side and downside.
On the plus side, I get to relive the moment that made global headlines all over again. On the downside, the first 10 seconds of the trailer gives away one of the biggest secrets of the lot.
Opinion: first trailer for Taylor Swift: The End of an Era docuseries spoils Travis Kelce and mop cart secrets
Let's talk through the trailer negatives first. If you, like me, watched the first Eras Tour shows through grainy TikTok livestreams trying to work out what was happening, you'll remember the early rumors of how she got to the stage in the first place.
After a few weeks, Swifties worked out she arrived in a box disguised as a mop cart, delivering her backstage without being detected (well, until people began cheering the cart itself). Within six seconds of the Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, we see Swift inside the cart, essentially spoiling one of the biggest ongoing mysteries the fanbase has had in the last two years.

I can only imagine that we've seen this so early on because more surprises lay in wait –we're talking about the Queen of Easter eggs, after all. One of these, I'm hoping, is how boyfriend Travis Kelce came to perform on stage with Swift during Night 3 of the Wembley stadium leg... the same night I attended.
Before we could even leave the stadium, reports of Kelce dancing in a top hat and tails (during the Tortured Poets section, no less) were all over the internet. Having been kept a surprise from absolutely everyone. Out of all the guests who joined her on tour, he was by far the most unexpected.
Kelce crops up in the docuseries trailer, supporting her as she works her team hard. My guess is that we're only just skimming the surface of Kelce-Swift content, which will potentially implode social media altogether.
Regardless of the ups and downs, I'm really looking forward to seeing exactly how the Eras Tour was constructed. Even though Swift has almost constantly been in the media this year (thanks to her engagement, release of 'The Life of a Showgirl' and its absolutely terrible 'release party' movie), I still feel like there's more to learn about the most famous woman in the world.
