7 new Apple TV+ movies and shows you should stream in September 2025
September is a big month for new releases on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ doesn't tend to release as many new movies and shows as its rivals, but that doesn't make its September 2025 schedule any less noteworthy.
Some of its biggest TV series, including one of its first ever shows (The Morning Show) and best spy thriller (Slow Horses), are returning with new seasons this month, alongside the debut of Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest and William Bridges' All Of You.
This month's new releases will also be joined by new episodes from Foundation season 3, Acapulco season 4, Chief of War, Platonic season 2 and Invasion season 3, giving subscribers plenty of fresh content to choose from. Which of the seven new titles below will you be watching first on Apple TV+, rated as one of our best streaming services?
Highest 2 Lowest
Director: Spike Lee
Run time: 2 hours and 13 minutes
Arriving on: September 5
Apple Studios' second big theatrical release of the year – following the summer box office smash hit F1 – is the new Spike Lee joint Highest 2 Lowest, which looks like a heady mix of music, money, mayhem and Denzel Washington from the trailer.
Taking a modern spin on the tale of a wealthy mogul stuck in a life-and-death moral dilemma after being targeted by a ransom plot, this fresh adaptation of the 1963 film High and Low that was inspired by Ed McBain’s precinct novel ‘King Ransom’ is already seeing rave reviews from a limited theatrical run.
The Morning Show season 4
Director: Mimi Leder
Run time: 45–65 minute episodes
Arriving on: September 17

The fourth season of Apple’s fictional newsroom TV series will return with a two year time jump. Set in early 2024, The Morning Show season 4 will take audiences through real-life headlines that have dominated in recent years, from deepfakes and misinformation to conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups.
This season will hit closer to home than previous installments with its focus on AI, a polarizing topic that will see Alex (Jennifer Anniston) face a new set of challenges in her newfound position on the board. Meanwhile, we’ll finally learn if Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) served time in jail after turning herself in, for covering up her brother’s role in the January 6th insurrection last season.
The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy season 3
Host: Eugene Levy
Run time: 30–40 minute episodes
Arriving on: September 19
The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy is one of the few reality TV series on Apple TV+, offering subscribers some respite from its usual programming of sci-fi spectacles and prestige dramas.
Similar to many other unscripted travelogue series that have come before it, the series sees a hesitant traveller – in this case it's Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy – visit exotic locations around the world in an effort to make the ultimate bucket list. Where will a third season see him begrudgingly travel to next?
Slow Horses season 5
Director: Saul Metzstein
Run time: 40–53 minute episodes
Arriving on: September 24
Gary Oldman’s portrayal of the grumpy foul-mouthed spy Jackson Lamb returns as reliably as the change of seasons, bringing us another batch of six new episodes – this time lifted from the pages of Mick Herron’s ‘London Rules’ novel.
Slow Horses season 5 will thrust resident tech nerd Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung) into the spotlight due to the team being suspicious of his new glamorous girlfriend amid a series of increasingly bizarre events occurring across the city. Can the misfit team of Slough House piece everything together in time?
All Of You
Director: William Bridges
Run time: 1 hour and 38 minutes
Arriving on: September 26
Brett Goldstein is back with yet another Apple TV+ project. Following roles in Ted Lasso and Shrinking (which he'll continue in the upcoming Ted Lasso season 4 and Shrinking season 3), he’s stepping in as a writer, actor and producer in the new sci-fi romance All Of You.
The movie centers around a decade-spanning emotional tug-and-pull between two college best friends who believe that they should be together but are kept apart by a new matchmaking test that determines ideal lifelong partners, begging the question: will they risk everything to be together, or accept fate?
The Savant
Director: Matthew Heineman
Run time: ~40 minute episodes
Arriving on: September 26
Apple TV+ is serving up not just one crime thriller series this month but two with the premiere of the new suspenseful eight-episode series The Savant. Inspired by a true-life story about an elite investigator who tracks hate speech online, the show will see Jessica Chastain stop extremists before they get the chance to act.
Andrea Stanley, who wrote the Cosmopolitan feature titled 'Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?' that the show is based on, serves as a consultant alongside creator Melissa James Gibson, who was the co-showrunner on House of Cards.
