It's that time of the year again, when retailer's ramp-up their sales in time for Presidents' Day. While we've had a few early bird promotions here and there, Best Buy is the first big retailer to launch its tech deals this week, including fantastic prices on laptops.
As TechRadar's retail editor, I've been scanning through Best Buy's early Presidents' Day sale today to find the best price cuts. As usual, the retailer has very strong deals, including on models that we've tested and recommend here at TechRadar.
For example, you can get an excellent Dell 14 Plus for just $699 (was $999) right now, which is a price that not only matches the record-low from Black Friday, but actually beats the official Dell Store's price right now. And, even at full price, the Dell 14 Plus is a great machine with plenty of power, a sensible design, and excellent ports.
You can check out more of my recommendations just down below, including laptops starting at just $329. While you're here, be sure to check out our main Best Buy Presidents' Day sale live blog, where we're posting regular updates on TV deals, appliances, and many other categories today.

Processor: Intel Core 5
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 256GB
Need a super cheap laptop that's lightweight but can still get the job done? This Asus Vivobook 14 is a good choice at Best Buy's Presidents' Day sale today. It's not super powerful, but a Core 5 chipset should provide enough performance for everyday tasks like browsing, or web-based applications. This machine does only have a 256GB drive, however, so storage isn't its strong point.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7
RAM: 16GB

This Dell 15 Laptop is the definition of a 'workhorse' machine. It's nothing fancy, but under the hood, you do get a powerful Ryzen 7 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a spacious 1TB SSD - which are all impressive at this price point. If you don't care too much about a high-end display, or a fancy design, then this Dell is a great mid-range choice with plenty of bang for the buck.

Processor: Snapdragon X

Here's another fantastic price cut on an Asus Vivobook 14 laptop, this time on a Snapdragon X configuration. That's a chipset that gives this machine not just excellent peformance, but also unbeatable battery life. With 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, this one is fantastic value - although, definitely make sure all your required apps are fully compatible with Snapdragon chipsets before you pick this one up.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7
RAM: 16GB

The Dell 14 Plus is one of our favorite Windows 11 laptops from the past few years, and a great choice if you just want a solid machine with plenty of power. It does lack the pizazz of the XPS line, but the 14 Plus is still a nicely built laptop with an attractive design, plenty of ports, and a powerful Ryzen 7 chipset in this case.

Processor: Intel Ultra 7
RAM: 16GB

The Lenovo Yoga 7i is a great choice if you're looking for a higher-end Windows laptop. Not only do you get a stunning 2k OLED display, but the combination of an Ultra 7 chipset and 16GB of RAM means it's great for even relatively demanding applications. I could see this being a great choice for both professional users and those with a bit of cash to spend who just want a laptop with a really nice display.

Processor: Apple M4
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB
The Apple MacBook Air M4 is always a good choice - it's the laptop that we recommend to most people right now, in fact. Annoyingly, it has been $100 cheaper before over Black Friday, but Best Buy does have a small discount on this machine right now that you can stack with a trade-in rebate for a really great price.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9

A massive 33% discount makes this high-end Asus ZenBook S 16 a much better value today in Best Buy's Presidents' Day sale. With $500 off, you're getting a great deal considering you not only get super powerful specs here, but a stunning 3K OLED display and premium lightweight design. It's still expensive, but this is definitely a fine choice if you want a Windows 11 laptop that can do it all.

Graphics card: RTX 5070
Processor: Intel Ultra 7
RAM: 16GB
Getting an RTX 5070 gaming laptop for just $1,200 is still pretty rare these days so this deal on the Acer Nitro V at Best Buy is definitely worth checking out. While it's not the cheapest machine on the market by any stretch, you should be able to get great performance right out the box with this Acer thanks to not only the RTX 5070 graphics card, but also a powerful Ultra processor, too.
