I test coffee makers for a living – here are the best Prime Day deals, from brands including Breville, Ninja, and Philips

Amazon Prime Day is the perfect time to grab a new coffee machine, with deep discounts on espresso and filter machines from all the big brands. But with so many deals out there, how do you tell what's really a great discount, and which machine is the right one for you?
That's where I come in. I'm TechRadar's kitchen tech editor, and I've scoured all of Amazon's deals to find the biggest savings on machines I've reviewed or would recommend myself. In the US, for example, my favorite deal is the Philips 3200 Series LatteGo, which is now just $399.99 (was $799.99) – a huge discount of 50%.

In the UK, my top Amazon Prime Day deal is the De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Next with Aeroccino for £99.90 (was £199), which is also half price and the cheapest it's ever been. Read on for more of today's best offers, plus some cut-price coffee beans and accessories to round out the perfect package.

If you don't need the Aeroccino milk frother, you can save even more cash by picking up the Nespresso Vertuo Next by itself. All colors have received a Prime Day price cut, but this light gray version has the biggest discount.
This bundle includes both the Vertuo Next machine, which takes Nespresso's dome-shaped capsules and has an extra-large water tank, and a separate frother for macchiatos, cappuccinos, and more milk-based creations (either dairy or plant-based). It's just received a second Prime Day discount, and is now down to its lowest price ever.
I love the little De'Longhi Dedica Duo, and this Prime Day deal is its first big price cut. I reviewed it just a few days ago and awarded it a full five stars thanks to its great performance and super slim design. All colors are on offer, including stainless steel, green (shown here), pink, and white.
Yes, you're reading that correctly, this fully automatic espresso machine is half price in Amazon's Prime Day sale. It has Philips' LatteGo system, which foams milk perfectly every time and is super easy to clean, and a choice of five customizable drinks to experiment with. This is a Lightning Deal, so it won't last long!
This version of the hugely popular Ninja Luxe Cafe machine is down to a record-low price for the second half of Prime Day. It can make regular or cold-extracted espresso, prepare drip coffee, and foam milk automatically or manually. It was already good value at full price, and now it's even easier to recommend.
Looking for an espresso machine that does it all? Look no further – the Magnifica Evo brews hot and cold, complete with hot or cold foam, and lets you customize your lattes, cappuccinos, americanos and other beverages to your heart's content. It's back to its lowest-ever price for Prime Day, so snag yours while you can and start making perfect coffee with the tap of a button.
The La SpecaIista Opera is one of De'Longhi's newest coffee machines, so I'm pleasantly surprised it's received such a deep discount already. It's similar to the La Specialista Touch above, but with nicely tactile physical buttons rather than a touchscreen, and optional cold-brewing for easy iced drinks at home. A great quality, stylish machine that will look stunning in your kitchen.
This coffee maker is almost identical to the excellent 5500 Series LatteGo I reviewed earlier this year, with the only difference being this machine's slightly shorter menu of presets. It's quiet, super easy to use, a breeze to clean, and perfect for households with one or two coffee-drinkers. This isn't quite its lowest-ever price, but it's very close.
These little insulated espresso cups are going cheap in today's Prime Day sale, and they're a great way to enjoy your coffee indoors or out. You can use them as shot glasses too, and they stack neatly when you're not using them.
If your Nespresso machine takes Classic-style pods (the ones shaped like a small top hat), Prime Day is the perfect time to stock up, with 20% off just about all multi-packs. These pods are packed with freshly ground and foil-sealed robusta beans for a classic, punchy espresso.
This is the cheapest this bundle of 50 capsules has ever been, with this deal bringing them down to less than 50 cents each. If you're a Starbucks fan, you'll get all of the coffee chain's most popular beans here, with 10 of each type. These are Nespresso Original pods, so bear in mind that they won't work in Vertuo machines.

This compact Nespresso machine is half price for Prime Day, and comes bundled with an Aeroccino milk frother for making perfect lattes and cappuccinos. The Vertuo Next is an upgraded version of our top-rated small Nespresso machine, the Vertuo Pop, with a bigger water tank so you can make more drinks between refills. It takes Nespresso Vertuo capsules (the white chocolate and strawberry are my personal favorites right now).
This super compact espresso machine held a place in our roundup of the best coffee makers for years, and is one of very few sub-£300 machines that can actually sustain pressure and temperature for consistent brewing. With 41% off for Prime Day it's even better value, and although this isn't quite the cheapest it's ever been, it's very close and easy to recommend.
This little bean-to-cup espresso machine has hit a record-low price for the second half of Amazon Prime Day. It's a slightly older model, so you don't get extras like a touchscreen, but it's good-looking and compact, with soft-touch button controls. A solid beginner-friendly coffee maker at an entry-level price.
I've noticed this drip coffee machine being used by many professional coffee roasters, and it's easy to see why. It offers two modes: quick brewing, which acts like any ordinary filter machine, and advanced, which lets you tailor every part of the brewing process. It's usually pretty pricey for a drip machine, but this deal brings it down to something much more manageable.
This is very similar to the Magnifica Evo Next above, but with a manual steam wand rather than an automatic milk frothing system. Using a wand is very simple (honestly!) so it's a good way to save an extra £50 if you don't mind doing a little of the work yourself. The machine will still brew the coffee for you, so you don't have to worry about the technicalities of making espresso.
This great-looking little automatic coffee machine is down to its lowest-ever price, and is a great choice if there are just one or two coffee-drinkers in your household. It's a piece of cake to use, makes drinks at the touch of a button, and is refreshingly simple to keep clean (not always easy with super-auto machines).
This machine is a smaller sibling to the Siemens EQ900 Plus I reviewed earlier this year, and awarded four stars out of five. This is a simpler version with nine drink presets, but it has all the essentials covered, and brews quickly, quietly, and consistently. It's easy to keep clean too, which is always a bonus, and it's never been cheaper than it is right now. A high-end espresso machine for a mid-range price.
This entry-level automatic espresso machine is back to its lowest-ever price for the second half of Amazon Prime Day, with an epic $300 discount. Bean-to-cup machines from reputable brands like De'Longhi are rarely under $800, so this is a deal not to be missed if you're looking for your first coffee maker in today's sales event.
London-based Grind makes one of our favorite coffee machines here at TechRadar (the stylish Grind One) and its whole beans are going cheap at Amazon for Prime Day. This bundle include three bags (light, medium, and dark roast) that you can use for espresso or drip coffee. They've never been cheaper than they are right now.
Grind's delicious coffee pods are also going cheap for Prime Day. This gift set of 120 capsules would be a great treat for you, or a sweet Christmas gift for the coffee-lover in your life. With 25% off, each pod is just 33p.
Got a machine that takes Nespresso Originals capsules? Stock up with this epic Prime Day deal on 100 L'OR espresso capsules, including all of the company's darkest and most intense roasts (plus some caramel-flavoured pods, because why not?) With this deal, each pod is just 26p, which is an absolute bargain.
