Windows 10 support ends tomorrow – don't panic, you can get a Windows 11 laptop for super cheap today
These are the 11 laptop deals that we'd personally recommend

Looking to upgrade your machine ahead of the official end of support for Windows 10? You're not alone, and luckily, several retailers have excellent deals on some of TechRadar's favorite models right now.
As deals editor, I've been busy scanning through all the top retailers in both the US and UK to find the deepest discounts on recommended machines. In short, if you need an upgrade, don't panic – there are fine choices that won't break the bank today.
For example, if you're on a tight budget, then you could consider something like the Dell 15 laptop for $329.99 / £349.99 at the official Dell Store. This entry-level machine isn't high-end by any means, but it's perfect if you just need something for casual use.
For something a little more powerful, I'd opt for the Dell 14 Plus for $649 (was $1,099) or the Dell 16 Plus for £749 (was £999). Again, nothing super fancy, but good, honest machines with powerful components and excellent battery life for a smooth Windows 11 experience.
Finally, you could consider ditching Windows altogether and opting for the excellent MacBook Air M4. This is a machine that we consider the best laptop on the market for most people right now. It's currently retailing for $899 / £849 at Amazon, which isn't the record-low price in either territory, but it's definitely still a stellar buy – and one that should last you plenty of years down the line, too.
Check out these deals, and others, in more detail just down below. If you'd like to read more about the impending end of Windows 10 support, you can check out our in-depth guide.
Today's best laptop deals in the US
- Amazon: laptops from $279
- Best Buy: save up to $300
- Dell: laptops from $279
- Lenovo: up to $500 off
- Walmart: Chromebooks from $139
Processor - Intel Core 3
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 128GB
Here's a fairly basic and well-priced Chromebook that comes with a welcome bump up to 8GB of RAM to help boost performance. It's still best-suited to general use because of the entry-level processor and limited storage space, but it's up to the job of web browsing, light work, writing documents, and streaming media. Plus, you get the superior battery life of up to 10 hours with this Chromebook, compared to similarly priced Windows machines.
Processor: Ryzen 5
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 512GB
If you're looking for a cheap machine to handle the basics, then this Dell 15 laptop is almost unbelievably affordable thanks to Dell's discounts this week. Although it's only got a combination of a Ryzen 5 chipset and 8GB of RAM, these should suffice if you're just looking to do simple tasks like browsing, answering emails, or streaming media.
Processor: Intel Core i7
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
Here's another great deal on a Dell 15 laptop courtesy of the current sale. This time, it's on a much higher-end configuration, with a decent Core i7 chipset and 16GB of RAM. That gives you plenty of power under the hood. This is a very, very sensible all-rounder if you're looking for a machine that can handle relatively intensive tasks like big spreadsheets or a large amount of browser tabs.
Processor: Intel Ultra 7
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
The Dell 14 Plus is one of our favorite mid-range Windows laptops thanks to its excellent design and competitive specs. This particular configuration is a bit on the pricey end, but you do get an Ultra 7 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a 2.5K display, meaning it's absolutely stacked with features. If I were looking for a decent everyday laptop for everything from work to demanding productivity applications, then I'd be very tempted by this deal.
Processor: Intel Ultra 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
This is the cheapest deal you'll find on an Intel-based XPS 13, which is a superb buy if you want a lightweight and premium laptop. This particular option is a little pricier than some, considering you get similar performance. However, not many Windows 11 machines can rival the XPS 13's stunningly premium design and build quality. Since this is the Intel-based configuration, you also get two Thunderbolt 4 ports and more robust application support, which could make it a better buy than the similarly priced Snapdragon version.
Processor: Apple M4
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB
The Apple MacBook Air M4 has been $100 cheaper over the past few weeks, but it's still an incredibly good value buy at $899. You get a great-looking 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, while the boost to 16GB of RAM keeps all your programs running smoothly. It's just a shame Apple still insists on only 256GB of storage as standard, which feels a little miserly in 2025. Nevertheless, this is still one of the best laptops you can buy if you need a performance powerhouse for productivity and creative tasks.
Processor - Snapdragon X Plus
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 512GB
The brand-new Microsoft Surface Laptop shot straight to the top of our best laptop guide and received a glowing five stars in our Microsoft Surface Laptop review, so I'm obviously going to call out this big discount at Best Buy. This particular specification includes a powerful Snapdragon X Plus processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM and a decent 512GB SSD. The levels of performance from the CPU, AI capabilities and 20 hours of battery life are top-tier to go alongside the swish-looking display and keyboard.
Today's best laptop deals in the UK
- Amazon: laptops from £170
- Argos: laptops from £179
- Currys: up to £350 off
- Dell: up to 25% off
- John Lewis: Chromebooks from £186
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
You can always rely on Dell for decent cheap laptop deals, case in point: this Dell 15 laptop. In terms of style, this one is definitely function over form, but you're getting an extremely solid combination of a Ryzen 5 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. For £350, you really can't go wrong here if you want a decent Windows 11 machine for the money. As an everyday machine, this is a fine choice.
Processor: Intel Core 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
Even though it's a slightly older laptop, there's a terrific combination of specs for the price in this Asus Vivobook 14, including an Intel Core 5 processor, a performance-boosting 16GB of RAM and a decent-sized 512GB SSD. These can make work and everyday tasks a breeze. You also get the benefit of a battery life of up to 12 hours, as well as a slim 14-inch display that makes this ideal for portability.
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
I highly rate this Asus Vivobook S16 OLED when it comes to value for money for a premium laptop. For £700, you get a powerful machine with a modern Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. Plus, there's also a crisp and bright OLED display – something you usually only see on much higher-end machines. These specs are great for all-around use, multitasking and some more demanding work, as well as watching your favourite shows and movies at the end of the day.
Processor: Intel Ultra 7
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB
This Dell 16 Plus is a fantastic option if you need a powerful machine for professional or intensive applications. Not only do you get an Ultra 7 chipset, but you also get 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for an extremely well-rounded set of specs. It's a little pricier than some options, but this is definitely a very solid (and safe) buy for most users.
Processor: Apple M4
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB
The MacBook Air M4 has technically been £50 cheaper at Amazon, but the retailer still has a decent price cut on this exceptional laptop. What can I say about the MacBook Air? Well, it's the gold standard premium laptop for a reason. You get a stunningly lightweight design, plenty of power, and unbeatable battery life. It's quite simply the full package and you can't go wrong if this machine is in budget. My only complaint? The utterly miserly 256GB of storage, which is how Apple purposely hobbles its entry-level configurations.
Processor: Intel Ultra 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
The Dell XPS 13 is the perfect choice if you want a stylish Windows 11 machine that's both lightweight and plenty powerful. This is a great price on the latest Intel-based model, which we rate highly thanks to its surprisingly good battery life and performance. As always though, the main selling point for the XPS 13 is its stunning premium design and portability.
