I test GoPros all year round – these are the 7 Black Friday deals I recommend
Huge price cuts on GoPro's action cams, old and new
Black Friday is the perfect time to grab the best deal on a GoPro – I should know because I've been tracking prices for the last three years. This year, I've found price cuts on almost all of the models I'd actually recommend from personal experience, including the Hero 13 Black, brand new Max 2, plus older models such as the original Max. I've rounded up those deals below.
My top pick of all the GoPro deals right now is the Hero 13 Black Extended Power bundle for $349.99 at Amazon in the US (was $499.99) / or for just £299.99 at GoPro in the UK (was £469.99). You get a whole load of extra accessories in this bundle for very little markup from the standard camera-only bundle.
I’ve only included GoPro deals that I recommend, and I'm updating this page regularly throughout the Black Friday period with the latest prices and deals, because they are changeable and I want you to get the best deal. If you'd like to know what GoPro's competition is up to, I've also put together a best Black Friday DJI deals and a Black Friday 360 camera deal roundups, and be sure to swing by TechRadar's live Black Friday coverage for other tech bargains.

I joined the TechRadar team as Cameras Editor three years ago, and since then I've covered every GoPro product launch and Black Friday / Amazon Prime Day sale. I've personally reviewed the latest Hero 13 Black flagship, as well as models from rival brands DJI and Insta360. I know which are the best action cams, and what are genuinely good deals.

- Best Buy: Grab the GoPro Max 2 for just $399
- GoPro: $110 off the Forest Green version of the Hero 13 Black

GoPro has slashed $110 off the price of its latest flagship Hero 13 Black action cam. That beats last year's lowest price of $339. This deal is for the camera-only bundle. Personally, I would spend extra on the Extended Power Bundle (see below).

My top pick of the Hero 13 Black deals, the Extended Power Bundle costs just $30 extra compared to the standard bundle, and for the extra money you get a dual battery charger, two additional batteries, memory card, and case. GoPro values this bundle at $560 – it's easily the best deal.

The Hero 13 Black + Accessories Bundle was hit with a $30 price increase, which means that even with $110 off, this Best Buy price can't match last year's lowest of $349.99. For me, the better deal this year is the Extended Power Bundle (see above).

GoPro has bettered the $50 discount on the Max 2 from earlier this week to $100 off – that's the biggest price cut on GoPro's latest 360 camera, which shoots the best-looking 8K video with 360-degree coverage we've seen, and which only launched in September as a huge upgrade of the original Max. It costs less than the Insta360 X5. You'll get the same price at a range of retailers, including B&H Photo.

Launched alongside the Hero 13 Black, the GoPro Hero (2024) is half the size and verging on half the price. It's a much simpler device designed for beginners, with basic 4K video, slow motion 2.7K 60fps, and 12MP stills. This is the tiny action camera for those who want the simplest possible experience, although experienced users will find its limitations a little frustrating. Still, if you're looking for your first-ever action cam, the Hero (2024) is well worth a look. Sadly, a price hike this year means last year's previous low price of $179.99 can't be matched.

Since GoPro updated with the Hero 13 Black, I was hoping for better deals on the GoPro Hero 12 Black, which is only $20 less in this $50 saving. We've pitted the two cameras against each other in a Hero 13 Black vs Hero 12 Black article so you can discover what you'd miss out on by opting for the now-cheaper Hero 12 Black.

The original Max was launched all the way back in 2019, and it was cutting-edge then. Six years late,r it still shoots decent 5.7K resolution 360 video and 16.6MP stills, and its price has been slashed since the newer GoPro Max 2 arrived. Honestly? I would spend more on the latest model, it's a sizeable upgrade, with those replaceable lenses.
Today's best Black Friday GoPro deals in the UK
- Amazon: Grab the original Max for just £149
- GoPro: Save £120 the Hero 13 Black, now just £279
- WEX: Save £100 on the new Max 2

Unbelievable – £200 off the six-year-old GoPro Max makes it the UK's most affordable 360 camera. Despite its age, the Max still performs well, shooting crisp 5.3K 360 video, and is an excellent value pick with this huge price cut. Naturally, it is directly compatible with GoPro's vast range of accessories.

GoPro has also slashed £100 off its latest 360 camera, and it only arrived in September, two months ago. You can grab that deal at WEX but also at GoPro's own site, where there is also a deal for the GoPro Max 2 + Accessories Bundle, which was £499 but now costs £399. With items totalling a combined value of over £540 – that's the camera, 2x Enduro batteries, memory card, and 1.2m selfie stick – this accessories bundle is arguably an even better package.

Amazon has slashed 28% off the price of GoPro's flagship action camera, the Hero 13 Black, which remains the current model since a successor won't land this year. If you already own a GoPro and accessories, then this camera-only option appears to be the best Hero 13 Black deal. However, I reckon either of the Extend Power or Accessories bundles, below, is an even better value. At the time of writing, the price is even better at GoPro's website, but Amazon prices fluctuate, so the situation could change. At the GoPro site (link below), the Forest Green colorway version of the Hero 13 Black is available for the same price.

For just an extra £20 on the GoPro site, the Extended Power Bundle is the best value Hero 13 Black deal so far for Black Friday. In addition to the standard bundle above, you get a dual battery charger, two additional batteries, memory card, and case. GoPro values this bundle at £520.

If you're new to GoPro and want the best model, then this Hero 13 Black + Accessories Bundle for £317 is another top pick. Last week, this bundle dropped to just £245, which was an unbelievable deal. However, the current price is still good today, for a bundle that GoPro values at £500 and includes two batteries, memory card, case, and 'The Handler' grip. Even if you have a prior model, the accessories bundle is probably best because you can't use your old batteries in a Hero 13 Black.

The GoPro Hero 12 Black can be found for a little less than the Hero 13 Black, but the price difference is negligible, and as such, it's hard to recommend the older model. In case you want to know the difference, I've pitted the two cameras against each other in a Hero 13 Black vs Hero 12 Black article; the cameras share the same 8:7 sensor, 5.3K video with 10-bit log capture and timecoded footage, incredible image stabilization, plus useful dual-channel audio tools.

Back to its lowest price, the budget Hero (2024) can shoot in 4K video and has 12MP for taking photos, as well as featuring a touchscreen for easy navigation. In our Hero (2024) review, we felt that GoPro made too many sacrifices in pursuing simplicity and value, but the Hero (2024) is a solid action camera nonetheless, now with £30 off. Note there's now a pricier 'Lit Hero' which is much the same camera but with built-in LEDs to illuminate your subjects
