Black Friday 360 camera deals – my expert picks from DJI, GoPro, Insta360 and more

The Osmo 360 wasn't initially available at launch in the US when it was announced in July this year, but it can now be picked up at the likes of B&H Photo and Amazon, and it's already on sale. The Standard Combo was $550 and can be had for as little as $357.49, while the Adventure Combo costs $454.99 at Amazon (was $699.99), which adds two extra batteries, a charging hub, a selfie stick, and a mount.

The Max 2 has a modest $50 off, but that is the first price cut on GoPro's latest 360 camera. And it still costs less than the Insta360 X5.

My favorite 360 camera overall gets it biggest price cut to date – the previous low was $519.99. And with swappable lenses, it could be better value than DJI in the long run, especially for gung ho users. It's now also available in white for the same price, via the same link.

Succeeded by the Insta360 X5, the X4 is still a top buy, especially for this record low price. This model also offers 8K video, slow-motion video options plus a handy 4K single lens mode, all ably supported with powerful image stabilization for smooth action on the go. The X3 is now two generations old and tops out at 5.7K video, whereas its successors can shoot 8K. However, don't write the X3 off – its still an excellent 360 camera, with the same powerful Insta360 image stabilization, 33ft / 10m waterproofing, bullet time and time shift modes, editing software and handy accessories. This is still a better camera than Akaso's 360, and my top budget pick.

The original Max was launched all the way back in 2019 and it was cutting edge then. six years later it still shoots decent 5.7K resolution 360 video and 16.6MP stills, and it's price has been slashed since the newer GoPro Max 2 arrived. Honestly? I would spend more on the latest model, it's a sizable upgrade, with those replacable lenses.

The Akaso 360 camera launched for $199.99 on July 7 – right on Prime Day – heavily undercutting other options. Features wise, it compares most directly to the older Insta360 X3, so don't expect the latest tech. That said, it's still the world cheapest 360 camera. Check out our Akaso 360 review.

The Osmo 360 launched as recently as July this year, costing £409.99 for the standard bundle, or £549.99 for the adventure bundle. Now, just a few months later, we have the first major price cuts, which undercut rival flagships. That Osmo 360 Adventure Combo is now just £395 – bargain.

Not to be outdone by DJI, GoPro has also slashed £100 off its 360 camera, and it arrived even later, just two months ago, in September. You can grab that deal at WEX but also at GoPro's own site, where there is also a deal for the GoPro Max 2 + Accessories Bundle, which was £499 but now costs £399. With items totalling a combined value of over £540 – that's the camera, 2x Enduro batteries, memory card, and 1.2m selfie stick – this accessories bundle is arguably an even better package.

There's still no better 360 camera than the Insta360 X5 overall, and it hits a record-low price for Black Friday. It still costs more than rival cameras, but that price gap isn't so big with this deal, and remember, the X5 features replaceable lenses, ideal for gung ho users.

Launched in July, the Akaso 360 entered the market as a budget-friendly alternative to Insta360 and GoPro, and it remains the world's cheapest 360 camera. It scored 4 stars in our in-depth review and capabilities-wise it is best compared to the Insta360 X3. It scores a 15% discount for Black Friday and is an absolute bargain.
