Nokia's first budget touchscreen phone offering, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is not too dissimilar to 5800 XpressMusic, also sporting the Symbian S60 5th edition smartphone user interface – but with a sub-£130 price tag at launch, it's a more affordable proposition.
Its 2.9-inch resistive touchscreen and build may reflect this, and it lacks 3G connectivity, but pleasingly it does have Wi-Fi onboard for high-speed online activity.
Sound quality is good through the in-ear phones supplied, and there's a 4GB memory card boxed as standard. You get plenty for your cash, and the phone impressed beyond the sum of its parts.
