What is the release date for South Park season 28 episode 2 on Paramount+?
- South Park season 28 episode 2 is now delayed until October 31
- The episode was originally scheduled to air on October 29 but was moved to Halloween
- Further episodes are scheduled for November 12, 26 and December 10
Put your hands up if you're surprised that South Park season 28 episode 2 has been delayed again! If you're eagle-eyed, your hands should stay firmly down.
A statement from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone reads: "Apparently when you do everything at the last minute, sometimes you don't get it done. This one's on us. We didn't get it done in time.
"Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being super understanding. Tune in next week!"
But it turns out there's been another delay for episode 2 since this statement was put out. If you're not too tired from keeping up with all the changes, here's what you actually need to know about the next South Park episode release date.
What is the launch time for South Park season 28 episode 2?

Unusually for the show, South Park season 28 episode 2 will now air on October 31 at 10pm ET/9pm CT on Comedy Central. This means the episode will then be available to stream on Paramount+ on November 1 at 6am ET/5am CT.
Thankfully, this will be the only episode airing on a Friday, simply because episode 2 will be a Halloween special. Comedy Central will be running reruns on October 29 in the usual episode schedule spot, which includes last week's premiere episode of season 28 (surprise, we've swapped seasons after five episodes).

When do new episodes of South Park season 28 come out?

Thankfully, South Park has already told us exactly when we can expect the rest of season 28 to air, with new episodes arriving on November 12, November 26 and December 10. How much we should trust the above X/Twitter post I'm not too sure, seeing as the October 29 release date changed so last minute.
What we can count on, though, is for the comedy to continue airing once every two weeks.
The existing two-week delay in the season 27 schedule started with the season 27 premiere having an unexpected delay, which bled into episode 2, with episodes airing every two weeks from them onwards.
Creators eventually confirmed that they needed more time to get episodes ready for fans, explaining: “So much happens right now in just one day with Trump. No one’s going to sacrifice getting it right, even if we have to push getting it to air, and if that makes the season longer, so be it."
