  • Netflix has unveiled a new teaser for Stranger Things season 5
  • The legacy featurette looks back at the hugely popular show's development
  • It also reveals lots of new footage for the series' final hurrah

Netflix has debuted a new teaser for Stranger Things season 5, and it's packed with new footage that'll excite and worry the popular show's fanbase.

Titled 'One Last Adventure', the featurette opens with soundbites from creators Matt and Ross Duffer, executive producer Shawn Levy, and the series' cast about the 10-year journey they've been on with Stranger Things. The legacy video also comprises behind-the-scenes footage from the sci-fi horror show's first four seasons, which plays over many of the group's aforementioned quotes.

Thankfully, it isn't long before attentions turn to the hit Netflix show's final season. The cast and crew look back on making Stranger Things 5 before dropping some hints about its last hurrah, with said comments being accompanied by the aforementioned new footage.

"This is the biggest season we've ever had," Ross Duffer said, before he added: "In terms of action, in terms of visual effects, [and] in terms of story. Ultimately, what people want is to see these characters together [for] one last time."

"It's more of an adventure and a mission, which I really like," Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, said. "Everyone is really put into the thick of it. No-one is sitting back on a walkie-talkie. Everyone is full throttle, going for it."

Sounds like it'll be an epic watch, then! Nevertheless, there are some soundbites from a couple of the series' cast that have sown a seed of doubt in my mind about the prospect that some characters won't get to live happily ever after once one of the best Netflix shows comes to an end.

"This is a season about fighting to the bone, you know, even when you don't know if you're going to win" Maya Hawke, who portrays Robin, said.

"We've come full circle," Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, added, before he teased: "The fans will be truly satisfied with the ending."

"Even when you don't know if you're going to win"? Sounds ominous, Ms. Hawke. And "truly satisfied", Mr. McLaughlin? I'm sure there'll be portions of the fanbase who won't be happy with Stranger Things' ending because, let's be frank, you can't please everyone all of the time.

What did you make of the legacy featurette? Is there anything significant in the new clips we see that hint at what's in store for our heroes? Let me know in the comments. Once you're done doing that, catch up on everything we know so far about Stranger Things season 5, whose first volume is due out on November 26.
