Let's just say it swaps Morocco for Italy

One show you might not have seen on our new TV shows to stream this weekend list is Atomic, the Sky Original series starring 3 Body Problem season 2's Alfie Allen, Shazad Latif and Orange is the New Black star Samira Wiley. The new show follows a drug dealer and on-the-run civilian who get involved in a cartel's plot to smuggle uranium across North Africa. They then have to face off against a skilled CIA agent and the terrifying possibility of a nuclear bomb falling into the wrong hands. An average drugs run, then.

Think big action sequences, life-or-death situations and, thankfully, a killer season finale that leaves us with two huge cliffhangers. Without giving away any big spoilers, Max (Allen) and JJ (Latif) are thankfully left in one piece, while Cassie (Wiley) looks to form a new alliance with disgraced drugs pusher Oksana (Avital Lvova). A trade-off against the criminal underbelly and the FBI seems set to go down, but as of writing, Atomic season 2 isn't confirmed.

However, if it does end up getting the green light, Allen and Latif have an incredibly different idea about what should happen. I asked them what they'd want to happen in an ideal world before season 1 even aired, and it took them all of 0.5 seconds to come up with the most hilarious response.

"They get rich and just chill by the poor for like six episodes and just chat," Latif tells me about his Atomic season 2 idea. "They move to Tuscany, I reckon." It's a stretch from what we've just seen in the explosive five episode season, but given we're talking about the cartel, nothing is impossible.

It's not as if the pair have been starved of fantastic locations so far, though. Atomic is filmed on location, and it's something that, while incredibly stunning, came with its own set of challenges.

"I prefer making everything as real as it possibly can be, Allen adds. "But it's kind of hard achieving that when you're driving at speeds of 85-90 miles an hour in a car. A lot of the interior stuff took place in the studio, but in terms of in terms of shooting on location in Morocco, I've been there twice now (Atomic being the second time), and I absolutely love shooting out there.

"I'd say the only challenge was just not eating too much food."

Sure, the downside is you're getting shot at for long, never-ending days with sand all over your face and a back that's probably ready to give out. But if it means travelling the world, then I'd be ready to pick up the slack.
