Foundation season 3's final episode is almost upon us, and some of its cast have dropped some tantalizing teases about how it'll end.

Speaking to TechRadar ahead of this season's 10th chapter, Lou Llobell, who plays Gaal Dornick, said viewers "won't expect what's going to happen" when it airs on Apple TV+.

According to Llobell, that'll be the case for those who've only seen the space opera's small-screen adaptation and anyone who's read Isaac Asimov's ground-breaking book series namesake. So, if you're among the latter and are convinced you already know how matters will come to a head in the closing chapter of Foundation's most engrossing season to date, think again.

Asked for a spoiler-free preview of this season's final entry, titled 'The Darkness', Llobell took a beat to carefully phrase her answer before saying: "I think it'll be [a combination of] what you most expect to happen, but also what you least expect to happen.

"It's all been leading to something and things are going to come to a head," Llobell continued. "I think that's very obvious, right? I've been reading Reddit threads and it's been so much fun to see people coming up with different theories [but] you won't expect what's going to happen."

One big mystery in the Apple TV Original's third season, which its ninth episode failed to fully answer – in my view, anyway – concerns Magnifico Giganticus, aka the character portrayed by Tómas Lemarquis.

Based on the role he plays in Asimov's literary works, some viewers believe they know what the big plot twist will be in 'The Darkness'. There's no spoilers here for those who don't know or don't want to know, but I previously covered who Magnifico Giganticus might actually be in Foundation season 3, so check out that article if you really want to know more ahead of the finale's arrival.

Still, will Magnifico's true identity be unveiled in one of the best Apple TV+ shows' season 3 finale? Predictably, Lemarquis wasn't giving anything away during our chat, with the French-Icelandic actor simply replying: "You'll need to watch the episode to find out."

Interestingly, one fan already thinks they've worked out that Foundation's TV adaptation will take a different approach to the unexpected story beat concerning Magnifico. I won't outright spoil it in this article but, if your curiosity is getting the better of you, here's the ResetEra post covering this particular fan theory. Potentially huge season 3 finale spoilers could be contained within, so read it at your own risk.

Foundation season 3 episode 10 will make its bow on Apple TV+, aka one of the world's best streaming services, on Friday, September 12. Mark your calendars, sci-fi fans.
