Very launches a surprise sale ahead of Black Friday – up to 40% off Ninja, Nintendo Switch, Lego, Samsung, Dyson, and more
With the Black Friday sales season almost upon us, Very has decided it can't wait around any longer and has launched a surprise early sale, with savings of up to 40% available across appliances, TVs, laptops, games consoles, toys, fashion, and more. I've just taken a look at what's on offer and picked out 13 of the best deals I'd buy right now if you wanted to get a head start on your end-of-year shopping.

It's always a tricky time of the year to recommend new tech purchases so close to Black Friday, but I'm shocked at how good some of these offers are. This is especially true for Shark and Ninja appliances, which can be picked up with an extra 20% off for a limited time when using the code 'WQMF2' at checkout.
There are some record-low prices available for the manufacturer's highly rated and best-selling air fryers, vacuums, and coffee machines. There's even the Ninja Perfect Temperature Kettle for under £50, which is a much more palatable price for the unique and sleek smart kettle.
Elsewhere, there's one of the first discounts on the Nintendo Switch 2, a good selection of cheap TVs from £119, and new laptops from as little as £169 if you need to upgrade from Windows 10.
Check out all of the top categories from the Very sale below, as well as the rest of my top picks from the surprise sale ahead of Black Friday. These offers are available until November 2, although the retailer has said more could be added over the next few days as well, so I'll be back to update my recommendations with any more standout deals.

I don't know how many people need the precise temperature controls offered by Ninja's fancy and slick smart kettle, but if you do, then this is one of the lowest prices I've seen for the appliance. You need to use the code 'WQMF2' at the checkout to save an extra 20% off the deal price, bringing it down to just over £46. That feels like a bit of a steal to me.

OK, it's not a huge discount, but it's still one of the first price cuts I've seen on the Nintendo Switch 2. Given that the console usually costs around £395 by itself, you're effectively getting a copy of Mario Kart World bundled in for just £14 – that's a huge steal. I don't anticipate the deals will be any better than this as we get into the depths of Black Friday, and there could be stock issues come November, so I think this is a great time to buy ahead of the mad rush.

Display - 14 inches
Processor - MediaTek Kompanio 520
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 128GB
This version of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook is a very basic machine, but it still offers a reasonable level of power for the price. I like that it includes 8GB of RAM, something rarely seen at this price, which will help boost performance a little. There's also 128GB of storage and battery life is excellent at up to 13.5 hours on a single charge. That's more than enough to last a full working day. At under £200, it's a bargain for school or college, or just as a home laptop that you use for light use and everyday tasks.

The JLab Go Air Pop are some of the best super-cheap earbuds you can buy. Why? Well, it's because they impress with energetic sound, solid noise cancellation and a comfortable fit. They were already outrageously cheap, but at £19 from Very, they're simply too good to skip if you need a new pair for a great low price.

This extremely popular and number one best-selling air fryer, which we awarded five stars in our Ninja AF300UK review, is back to the low price I saw during Prime Day when you enter the code 'WQMF2' at the checkout to get an extra 20% off. This is an excellent dual-basket air fryer that can prepare multiple foods at once faster and arguably healthier than other conventional cooking methods.

There's a solid £80 off the Dyson Airwrap i.d at Very, which is around £30 off the lowest-ever price for this game-changing styling gadget. Not a bad price, then, if you don't want to wait to see if it gets any cheaper over Black Friday. This bundle boasts a tapering and parallel auto-wrap barrel, for different curl looks, and includes a button to launch an automated curl sequence that takes all the effort out of styling.

The PS5 is the console I use the most and this Digital Edition bundle at Very is excellent value for money if you're looking to pick up one as well. As well as a copy of EA FC 26, this bundle has everything you need to get started, including a controller and all cables. Just know that it doesn't come with a disc drive, so you won't be able to play physical copies of games (unless you buy the separate disc drive attachment).

If you're looking for a good-sized budget display, you can't get much better than this Hisense 50-inch 4K TV that's on sale for £279 at Very. The Hisense A6Q sports 4K Ultra HD resolution support, a direct-lit LED array for respectable brightness and contrast, and Dolby Vision HDR for superior colours. Access to all of your favourite streaming apps is just a button press away, too. All of this for under £300? A bargain basic TV.

Ninja's space-saving air fryer is down to a fantastic low price when you enter the code 'WQMF2' at the checkout. This is a steal for the popular and well-rated appliance that we love here at TechRadar. I scored full marks in our Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer review and even claimed top spot in our best air fryer buying guide. Well-built and great-looking on any countertop, it offers five cooking levels across two drawers and two racks, while the 7.6L capacity is ideal for medium to big families.

The older XM4s are outstanding, so the XM5s had to work really hard to beat them. They're definitely not a smash hit, but if you want a high-quality pair of noise-cancelling headphones that are considerably cheaper than the newest XM6s, then these are a smart buy. Just know that I reckon they will be at least £30 cheaper closer to Black Friday.

This Asus TUF A15 is a solid budget laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and RTX 4050. Even though it doesn't have the latest hardware, it still delivers reliable performance that works well as an entry-level gaming laptop. It has a 512GB SSD for storing a modest library of games and 16GB of RAM for powering through play sessions and multitasking. The full HD display with 144Hz refresh rate is a great inclusion, too, for a smooth and responsive gaming experience. Overall, this is an impressive laptop for popular gaming titles such as Fortnite, Roblox, and more.

Display - 15.6 inches
Processor - AMD Ryzen 5

If you want a good value Windows laptop, then this configuration of the Asus Vivobook Go is a solid buy. It features an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a large 512GB SSD to ensure good performance for general use and a surprisingly large amount of speedy storage for the price. It's a top buy right now if you're on a budget and need a basic laptop for everyday use, admin tasks and light work.

Obviously, this Toshiba TV isn't the most powerful or highest quality display out there. However, it is incredibly cheap. So, if you need a very basic TV for the bedroom, kitchen or a kid's room for streaming shows and movies, then this is up to the job and doesn't cost much at all. Just don't expect a fantastic image or super-fast performance.
