CMF Phone 2 Pro: was £219 now £179 at Amazon

With a 6.77-inch display, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, 8GB of RAM, three cameras, and a large 5,000mAh battery, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is about as good as it gets in its price range and the only phone deal under £200 that I'd seriously recommend considering at the time of writing. It can't catch up to the flagships it emulates, but is so much cheaper that this almost cancels out.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is the cheapest phone I’d recommend to most people because, in a broad sense, the £200 barrier is a decent benchmark for reliable and usable phone performance. Additionally, the CMF Phone 2 Pro comes from a brand known for solid budget-friendly devices, and offers features that we’d expect to see from much more expensive handsets.

Here’s what we’re dealing with – a 6.77-inch FHD+ display, 8GB of RAM, a 5,00mAh battery, and a triple-camera system with a dedicated 2x telephoto lens. Even at its regular retail price of £219, that is immense value for money.

Granted, the CMF Phone 2 Pro doesn’t perform nearly as well as the flagship phones it emulates – the cameras, while numerous, are pretty bad, performance is subject to lags and delays, and the large battery is hampered by slow charging. But at this price, the value for money is still so huge that, despite its shortcomings, the phone still scored 3.5 stars in our full CMF Phone 2 Pro review.

And to throw a little personal opinion into the mix, I’m a real fan of the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s overall aesthetic. The dot-matrix design of NothingOS merges well with the raw industrial look of the phone’s rear panel. You’ll want to check our list of the best cheap phones for a more reliable performer, but for £179 you won’t find a better-running or cooler-looking option.
