The Galaxy S26 may be coming, but it's actually a fantastic time to consider picking up a Galaxy S25 series device
Tempting price cuts are currently available on these superb devices
January is always a weird spot for deals on Samsung Galaxy devices because the brand usually unveils its next generation of flagships in February. Subsequently, it's often hard to recommend the soon-to-be-replaced current series.
Right now, however, Amazon has a fantastic price on the standard Galaxy S25, with the 128GB variant retailing for just $649 (was $799) unlocked. That's a price that's just as good as Black Friday and one that's probably worth considering if you just want a no-strings-attached deal on a solid Android flagship.
Not only do you not need the usual plan or trade-in to get your discount here, but I doubt the latest series will be anywhere near this cheap for a good while. It's usually a couple of months at least before we start to see the big upfront price cuts hit major unlocked retailers like Amazon or Best Buy.
So far, all the latest rumors for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series point to another iterative upgrade, rather than a major one. It's also likely that the series will arrive a little later in February, which again might be another reason to just opt for a cheaper Galaxy S25 right now. Either way, you have a really great option here that's worth considering.
Record-low unlocked Galaxy S25 deal at Amazon
If you're looking for a fantastic unlocked price on the Galaxy S25, here it is. Right now, Amazon is offering a superb $150 discount on the device, bringing it down to a price that matches the record-low for the baseline 128GB configuration. Even with the next-generation of Galaxy devices looming, the Galaxy S25 is a fantastic buy at this price with its powerful chipset, display, and excellent cameras.
Other great Galaxy S25 deals to consider
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: $300 upfront, or up to $700 off with a trade-in at Samsung
Samsung is always a reliable choice for big discounts on excellent phones. Case in point - this deal on the outstanding Galaxy S25 Ultra. Right now, you can get either a trade-in rebate of up to $700 off or a $300 upfront discount, both of which are great choices. This phone did reach a whopping $450 off over Black Friday, but this week's discount is still fantastic.
Samsung Galaxy S25: was $800 now $550, plus one year of unlimited data for $15/mo at Mint Mobile
Here's another incredible deal, this time from the prepaid carrier Mint Mobile. The carrier is currently offering a massive $450 price cut on all three of the latest Galaxy S25 series devices alongside a full year of super-cheap unlimited data. While the discounts here aren't quite as good as those offered over Black Friday, they're still exceptionally strong - and come with a cheap plan, to boot.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus: was $1,000 now $750
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: was $1,300 now $1,050
