Amazon Prime Day is delivering seriously strong Dyson deals – here are the biggest and best bargains

There's a whopping $280 off the V15 Detect Plus as part of the Big Deal Days sale at Amazon. That's an excellent discount – it's very unusual to see it this cheap. I think the V15 is the best Dyson vacuum for most people's needs, combining outstanding suction power and battery life with advanced features like dust particle sensing and automatic suction adjustment. You can score $80 off the Airstrait right now. This innovative styler uses a directed blade of air to smooth hair as it dries it, leaving your locks looking naturally straight with less heat damage than if you were to use a traditional heated straightener. This Dyson.com deal is only on the the Prussian Blue/Rich Copper version of the Airstrait; if you have a Prime subscription, the pink version has the same discount at Amazon.

The V15s has had a $200 price cut for Prime Big Deal days. Although it's not quite the cheapest this vacuum-mop has ever been, it's still an extremely strong discount. The base model here is the V15 – which is one the most advanced, tech-packed and high-performing Dyson cordless vacuums – with an extra compatible mopping floorhead that can be attached to take care of wet cleaning on hard floors. The Dyson Hot+Cool AM09 has had a huge 40% price cut in the Prime Big Deal Days sale – it's extremely rare to see such a strong discount on this model. This appliance does double-duty as a fan and a heater, meaning it'll earn its floor space all year round. It uses Dyson's Air Multiplier technology to deliver powerful hot or cool airflow, plus there's a blade-free, easy-to-clean design.

Head to the Big Deal Days sale at Amazon to score $150 off the V11 Origin. That's an extremely strong discount – it's very rare to see this model any cheaper. The V11 is a slightly older model in the Dyson cordless lineup, and lacks advanced features like dust particle sensing, but it's still nimble and powerful, with excellent pickup and a useful LCD screen.

If you need something serious for deep cleaning, you can't beat Dyson's Ball Animal 3. This vacuum isn't discounted at Amazon, but there's $200 off when you head direct to Dyson. Beware, this vac is heavy and bulky, but boasts an incredible amount of suction power. This deal is also available at Walmart, where you'll also find an older version discounted to $249.99 (was $329.99).

Head direct to Dyson to pick up the Airwrap i.d. for an all-time lowest price, with $100 off. You can choose your bundle: Straight+Wavy or Curly+Coily, with slightly different extra attachments to suit each hair type. Whichever you pick, you'll get the all-important auto-wrap curl barrels. If you're after a Dyson V8, the best place to go is not Amazon. Instead, head to Walmart or to Dyson.com, where you'll find a massive $240 off list price. This discount crops up on occasion, but it's rare to see it any cheaper. The V8 is the oldest model in the current Dyson lineup, but it remains extremely popular. It's simple but effective, with strong suction and great maneuverability. You'll also get a compact, motorized Hair screw tool for cleaning upholstery.

This supersized Dyson vacuum has a supersized discount in the Prime Big Deal Days sale, with $220 off list price. It's not quite the cheapest I've ever seen this model go for, but it's rare to see a bigger discount. The Gen5outsize is based on the Gen5detect – with the same advanced features, including automatic suction adjustment – but with a bigger dust cup and wider floorhead, making it perfect for big houses.

The iconic Supersonic hair dryer has had an $80 price drop when you head direct to Dyson right now. The Nural is the newest version of the Supersonic dryer, with the same streamlined and easy-to-wield shape, but added smarts like the ability to automatically adjust temperature depending on how close the dryer is to your head, plus attachment memory. The slight catch is that this deal is only available on the Prussian Blue/Rich Copper version.

There's a major discount on the older version of the Supersonic if you head straight to Dyson. This model might lack the smarts of the newer Nural, but it's still very powerful and easy to direct, and at the current price it's an absolute bargain.
