I own Sony's WH-1000XM5 headphones, and every time I put them on, I'm blown away by the incredible sound that they produce. But at $299, they're not going to suit everyone's budget. If you're looking for a much cheaper option, then I'd recommend you buy the Sony WH-CH520 at Amazon for $33 (was $69.99).

Despite being Sony's budget-friendly offering, in reality, they punch well above their weight. With well-balanced sound and a feature set found more commonly in pricier models, the WH-CH520 are well worth a look if you want a pair of the best wireless headphones but are strapped for cash.

A whopping 53% discount sees Sony's budget headphones drop to a record-low price. For such a small sum, you might think you'll be compromising left, right and center, but that couldn't be further from the truth. With high-quality sound, 50 hours of battery life, and multipoint connection, you're getting a feature-rich product at an incredibly low price.

In our Sony WH-CH520 review, we rated the headphones 4.5 out of five stars. We also labeled them “some of the best cheap headphones you can buy”. Aside from inferior noise isolation and the lack of a 3.5mm jack, we couldn't really find much else to be critical about.

It's worth noting that these are an on-ear design, which we appreciate is not for everyone. But if you're looking for something lightweight and portable, then they're hard to beat.

We recommend listening at above 40% volume because otherwise the sound can become a little compressed. That being said, in general, the WH-CH520 produce well-balanced audio and feature impressive bass, especially given the price.

If you're looking for a more premium alternative, then there are plenty of Sony WH-1000XM5 deals available right now, especially given that the XM6 headphones have now launched.
