I'm a proud owner of the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, but I'm considering upgrading to the latest model. That's because the Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Headphones have crashed in price at Amazon to $398 (was $459.99).

This is only the third time we've seen Sony's latest and best noise-canceling headphones drop below $400. Given their flagship status amongst the best noise-cancelling headphones, this is a seriously good price.

With some of the best noise-cancelation tech on the market, alongside superb audio performance, it doesn't get much better than this when it comes to wireless headphones. The sub-$400 price sees the popular cans return to a record-low price, making them a superb choice for most people.

Four and a half stars out of five was what we gave these headphones in our extensive Sony WH-1000XM6 review. We actually called them the "best of the XM4 and XM5 in one new pair of cans," which means they're absolutely worth buying even if you own a predecessor.

Our reviewer, Harry Padoan, said they offered “class-leading noise cancellation” and “excellent audio performance." He was also incredibly glad to see the cans return to a foldable design, which many owners missed in the previous model.

We were a little disappointed that they're not waterproof, but we'd still happily put them at the top of our list of the best wireless headphones, and they’re a good bet if you're seeking the best noise-cancelling headphones. too.

With such fierce competition, there are other headphone deals around which are worthy of consideration. If it's the very best noise canceling tech that you're after, then take a look at the latest Bose headphone deals.
