Just clocking in for your TechRadar Black Friday deals roundup (there's plenty to get stuck into, music-loving friend)? I've got an absolute peach of a Technics earbuds deal for you.

Technics' lineup of audio equipment isn't often involved in Black Friday discounts, for the simple reason that they're the absolute, top-tier, hands-down best for sound – but you see, Black Friday isn't your average sale…

These flagship headphones only arrived in January 2025 and our glowing review of the Technics EAH-AZ100 proves why they're sitting pretty in my guide to the best earbuds on the market. So we know they're good. Now, they're also $75 off for the first time ever – so let's get to the deal!

Today's best Technics EAH-AZ100 Black Friday deal

Technics EAH-AZ100
Save 25% ($75)
Technics EAH-AZ100: was $299 now $224 at Amazon

The excellent EAH-AZ80 that came before this model basically tore up the rule book on sound quality and features in wireless earbuds – and the AZ100 are even better. Released in January 2025, these little beauties are still the only earbuds to offer multipoint to three devices simultaneously plus excellent sidetone tech for hearing your own voice in calls, as well as some of the most neutral and detailed audio in an even smaller, even more premium-feel design. Oh, and the deal? They've never dropped this low in price until now. Highly recommended.

I need to emphasize at this point that it's so rare to see a flagship, class-leading, 2025-issue product in a lowest-seen Black Friday discount like this. I strongly encourage you to glance over that review, then consider a purchase if you've been looking for a set of really good earbuds.

As we said in our review (published earlier in the year): "There’s no denying the lengths to which the company has gone. From the extremely thorough specification (covering everything from multipoint connectivity and adaptive noise-cancellation to Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity with LDAC compatibility) to design (smaller, lighter and yet somehow no less premium in look and feel to the model they replace), the Technics EAH-AZ100 are ready to compete. Control options are numerous and well implemented, and the carefully ergonomic design extends as far as providing five different sizes of ear tip."

The fact that they're still in the top spot of my best earbuds guide is proof that they're the absolute business – and with a massive 25% (or $75) off the asking price for the first time ever, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

Sonically (and again taken from our in-depth review), the Technics EAH-AZ100 are "never less than ‘very good indeed’ and are capable of giving the class leaders plenty to worry about."

And for me, they're top of the class. I wear these earbuds regularly (have done since their release) and the detail levels are the key differentiator for me – that and the premium feel and fit. When listening to LDAC files (from an Android) I believe you cannot beat these Technics buds for detail, space and the crisp leading edge of notes in a beautifully wide soundstage.

Still not sure whether they're the right buy for you? I'll do a mini roundup of the best of the rest, below, but you could also check out my roundup of Sennheiser headphones and earbuds deals, my collection of the best Bose Black Friday headphones deals, my more general Black Friday headphones and earbuds deals recommendations or our dedicated Black Friday headphones deals live blog.

Happy shopping – and never forget that it's all about the music!

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)
Save 20% ($50)
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) : was $249 now $199 at Amazon

On the face of it, a $50 saving isn't the most headline-worthy sale you'll see on Black Friday. But this is Bose – and it's also the first ever saving I've seen on this set of 5-star, 2025-release noise-cancelling earbuds. They basically walk all over anything else on the market for noise cancellation (except maybe Apple's AirPods Pro 3 – but if you don't own an iPhone I don't recommend those, however good the deal). A lowest-seen fee on a truly excellent set of new earbuds from Bose? Yes please.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds
Bose Ultra Open Earbuds: was $299 now $199 at Amazon

Bose is one of the biggest names in the world of headphones, and their reputation for quality is shown in these earbuds. The Ultra Open boast incredible sound, supreme power, and excellent battery life, making them a seriously premium pair of all-around buds. Now at a record-low price (as long as either black, 'sunset iridescent' or 'moonstone blue' finishes work for you), so there's no better time to buy.

Sony WF-1000XM5
Save 23% ($70)
Sony WF-1000XM5: was $299.99 now $229.99 at Amazon

OK, so this is a little more than the lowest-ever price we've seen for the WF-1000XM5 in the US, but this Black Friday deal is worth pouncing on if you're after a great set of smaller-size earbuds and own an Android device. Looking for an alternative to AirPods Pro and want to save some dollars in the process? Sony's got the answer.
