Google Daydream View is only $50 right now

Impressive mobile VR is cheaper than ever

Already a good deal at $79, the Google Daydream View mobile VR headset is now an even better one at $49 in the US.

The headset launched alongside the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, but now works with the Moto Z, with promised support coming soon to more Android Nougat-equipped smartphones, like the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design, ZTE Axon 7 and Asus ZenFone AR.

Compared to the Samsung Gear VR, the discounted Daydream View is half the price and is in some cases, a much better value despite being later to the VR game.

How? First, the Google Daydream platform and headset support a wider swath of smartphones than just Google's own. Next, this headset rocks a svelte fabric design and comes with a Bluetooth-connected controller that offers greater interactivity in VR applications and expands the possibilities down the line for the future.

If you have a compatible phone, or are planning on getting one soon, you should hop on this deal. It’s the first that we’ve seen for the Google Daydream View and you likely won’t find a better one come around until the holidays later in the year.
