  • Hacks season 5 will be releasing two episodes per week on HBO Max for the next fortnight
  • Episodes 4 and 5 drop on April 30, with episodes 6 and 7 on May 7
  • Season 5 will return to a weekly release schedule for the final three weeks (eps 8-10)

We're only three weeks into Hacks season 5, and it's already been so good to us.

Season 5 episode 3 is equally one for the books. Deborah hits it off with a new artist playing at the Palmetto, sparking an age gap romance worthy of a double-page spread in US Weekly.

However, there's more good news to come for devoted Hacks fans (or should I say Little Debbies?). HBO Max is changing the hit show's release schedule for the next two weeks... meaning we're doubling our binge for the foreseeable.

You read that correctly: Hacks season 5 will be releasing two episodes per week on HBO Max for the next fortnight.

This means that episodes 4 and 5 drop on April 30, with episodes 6 and 7 following up on May 7.

However, from episode 8 onwards, we return to a single episode weekly schedule for the final three weeks.

The full release schedule looks something like this:

  • Episode 1: out now
  • Episode 2: out now
  • Episode 3: out now
  • Episode 4: April 30
  • Episode 5: April 30
  • Episode 6: May 7
  • Episode 7: May 7
  • Episode 8: May 14
  • Episode 9: May 21
  • Episode 10: May 28

HBO hasn't specified a reason for the mid-season schedule change, but who are we to complain?

At the time of writing, there are no episode synopses publicly available. But as Deadline reports, episode 5 will be an unexpected crossover with the hit reality TV series, The Amazing Race.

It's set to show "Deborah Vance and Kaitlyn Olson’s character DJ compete in a fictional celebrity episode of The Amazing Race featuring the CBS reality competition show’s host Phil Keoghan, its crew and actual props."
