This might be the coolest Star Wars holiday countdown yet, and it's exclusive to the Disney Store

With the holidays just around the corner, you can expect many holiday countdowns or Advent calendars to be released. We’ve already seen the latest from Lego, which has been hard to keep in stock, but Disney Store might have just raised the bar.

This one single-handedly blew me away as a Star Wars fan, and we’re exclusively revealing the Disney Store’s Star Wars Miniature Legacy Lightsaber Hilts Countdown Calendar. It’s an aptly named product, as hidden behind paper boxes that look straight out of the Star Wars universe is an iconic lightsaber from the franchise.

While it’s not a full 24-day countdown, it’s 12 days packed with intrigue, as you won’t know until you open it whether you’re scoring Yoda’s iconic green saber or Darth Vader’s red one. It’s likely going to be at the top of the list for many Star Wars fans – and not just for the holiday season, either.

I’ll dive into why that’s the case below, but let’s talk about the all-important price and launch date. The Star Wars Miniature Legacy Lightsaber Hilts Countdown Calendar will go up for order tomorrow, October 20, 2025, for $99.99, and if you're in the UK, it's up for order now at £90. That comes to about $12 per mini lightsaber hilt and display case, so while it might be pricier than a typical countdown kit, it’s in line with general Star Wars collectibles.

Disney Store's Star Wars Miniature Legacy Lightsaber Hilts Countdown Calendar goes up for order in the United States on October 20, 2025, for $99.99. It's also available from the Disney Store in the UK now for £90.00.

Lego is taking a fun approach with its Star Wars Advent Calendar, and I'm tempted to open mine before the holiday. You could be like me and also use this to count down to a trip to Galaxy’s Edge, the Star Wars land at Disneyland or Disney World.

Once unboxed, you’ll find each of the lightsabers in a Star Wars–style crate, complete with a card that shows who used the lightsaber and other key details. Maybe these were transported on the Millennium Falcon or held in a storage bay on the Death Star! The display case is clear, and each hilt case connects to the others you’ll unbox for easy display.

After you unbox all 12, you can stack them four high and three across. While they don’t light up, make sound, or include the illuminated blade, the level of detail on each hilt — and the broad representation of characters from across Star Wars — will certainly delight fans. The included lightsaber hilts were used by Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Ben Solo, Kylo Ren, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, Rey, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker.

If you’re after a stocking stuffer or simply want to add to your collection of droid figures, launching alongside this countdown calendar is the Disney Store’s next Droid Factory figure. This time around, it’s DJR-3X, who was originally a pilot and now spins tunes as a DJ in Oga’s Cantina at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney World.

This droid ships in classic packaging and features some movable parts, but more importantly, matches the DJ fit seen in the parks, complete with proper weathering. The Droid Factory DJR-3X Action Figure also drops tomorrow for $14.99 at the Disney Store.
