I used the highest iDynamic setting for this image to bring out the shadows while retaining the brighter areas of the image.

This is the raw files that was captured at the same time as the JPEG file above but lacks the impact of the iDynamic adjustment and shows the degree of the shadow brightening that was applied.

Using the Vivid Photo Style option produced a very vibrant image here, the grass looks a little unnatural.

The Aspect Ratio control on the top of the lens makes it very easy to swap to different ratios, such as 1:1 (square).

I deliberate over exposed this shot by 1EV over what the metering system recommended to emphasise the brightness of the light in the background. The raw files made a nice monochrome conversion (see below).
