The Argos Black Friday deals are due to start soon, but with different parts of the UK in different stages of lockdown, it can be tricky to know what your options are when it comes to collecting your purchases.

There are usually three main options to choose from– delivery to store, Click & Collect, and home delivery – but it can be confusing to work out which you should choose right now, so we've summarised all the current guidance right here.

If you're collecting items in person, make sure you bring a face covering and stick to social distancing guidance. Many stores will also have one-way systems, so keep an eye out for signs and printed floor stickers. If you accidentally forget your face covering, staff will help you find one.

Information in this guide is correct at the time of publication (November 5) and we'll be keeping it updated as Black Friday and Cyber Monday draw nearer. If you have a question that's not answered here, we recommend dropping Argos a message on Twitter or using the Live Chat service.

Scotland and Northern Ireland

Argos stores are open as normal in Scotland and Northern Ireland (both standalone shops and those inside Sainsbury's supermarkets). You can place and collect orders in person, but you'll need to wear a face covering in the store and you might have to queue outside during busy times.

Home delivery, installation and recycling services are all still operating, and although you can go into a store, Argos recommends choosing home delivery if possible to reduce the risk of crowding.

England

From November 5 to December 2, Argos stores in England are only open for collection of orders you've already paid for online. Any orders you're collecting will be given to you outside the door – you won't be able to go inside.

You won't be able to buy anything in-store, but you can shop online as normal. Delivery, installation and recycling services are still available (which is great news if you're buying white goods).

If you need to return an item that you collected in a store, you'll need to take it to an Argos store located in a Sainsbury's supermarket. If you need to return an item that was delivered to your home, you can arrange collection using the Argos Live Chat service (scroll down and click the purple button to start a chat).

Wales

Argos stores in Wales have now re-opened - both standalone stores, and inside branches of Sainsbury's. You can buy and return items in-store, and collect goods you've paid for online.

However, bear in mind that you might have to queue outside to maintain social distancing, so you may prefer to use home delivery instead. If you're self-isolating, you need to contact Argos to arrange a different delivery date. The easiest way to do this is to use the Argos Live Chat service.
